“I choose to go to this spot because they serve 20 oz red eyes with four shots. I get burnt out by caffeine-sensitive baristas who make comments about red eyes and inadvertently flash implicit bias and character judgements on people for having a high caffeine tolerance. I go to school and work, and I don’t want to feel like a drug addict every time I order something off your menu. I went in today for a red eye and one of the baristas was confused and concerned about other staff historically making the normal four shot 20 oz red eyes, thinking that 2 shots was more than enough. There are plenty of drinks on the menu for caffeine sensitive people, please for the love of god leave red eyes alone and keep them at 4 shots. If I have to pay extra to add 2 shots to a 20 oz red eye just to reach the normal 4 I’ll just go to Dutch Bro’s exclusively. I like north town coffee, there are a lot of awesome things about this place, but I also don’t want to pay +$7 for a drink that should have the same kick as a $4 drink, and as I mentioned above I don’t want to feel like a drug addict by the staff every time I order something off your menu.“

“This hide gem is a perfect taqueria. They have indoor sitting. They are one of the better places to get Mexican style food in arcata. Fresh ingredients and the salsa is house made which is as a plus super tasty! Staff is friendly and quick service. 100% worth trying! Beers are cheap however they have a small selection!“

“went to Los bagels for the first time a week ago as we were making our way through the PNW. Their bagles are so good and the berry scones.... yes please. no matter how busy the line had gotten the whole staff showed grace and diligence in their work and the own should be proud to have hired such a great group. hope to make my way soon in october“

The surprise birthday. candles in my son's delicious chocolate silk pie that we got to go was amazing. We didn't discover them until we got home. “I want to start off by saying as a regular last night was the BEST yogurt experience I have ever had. I paid in mainly coins at the brink of closure for the night and I felt very accommodated and supported throughout my journey. I felt loved as a customer and appreciated as a human being. Dani and Jenny really put into perspective how all customers should be treated. I will eternally be indebted to Jenny and Dani. Due to the past coin shortage I truly felt it was my personal responsibility to give back to my community and recirculate these blessed coins into today’s economy. Dani and Jenny helped me achieve this goal of mine. I think both Jenny and Dani should receive employee of the month for their amazing customer service and beautiful smiles.

“I like the outlet. I specifically went there knowing I wanted to use texas toast bread to make french toast. The prices are good but being an outlet store I try not to buy what won't be eaten shortly after purchase. I know the price here was low because right after I went to the restaurant supply store and noticed my savings.“

“Bayside is such a hidden gem! Their lattes are fantastic and their food is so delicious! It’s made with local and organic products whenever possible and the best part is that it leaves you feeling satisfied, full and feeling great. They’re my favorite breakfast spot in all of Humboldt but they make delicious lunches too. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you totally should!“

“Went here last second and by looking at the menu quickly. The food definitely catches your eye. We were definitely surprised by how trendy the restaurant looked inside. It has an upscale club vibe with a beautiful bar that changes colors. We were quickly seated. Our waitress was friendly and knew the menu pretty well. I chose the filet mignon and was happy with the steak. It was tender and well seasoned. The vegetables weren't as good. Lastly, drinks were amazing. Ramone’s Bakery & Café is the perfect spot in Eureka for a coffee break or a sweet treat. I enjoyed a golden milk with a shot that was rich, warming, and perfectly spiced—one of the best dairy-free options I’ve had. I also tried their vegetarian breakfast burrito, which was basically a brilliant omelette rolled up in a tortilla—an omelette on the go! It was satisfying, fresh, and perfect for a quick, hearty breakfast. The cornmeal scone was tasty and moist, though I did notice it’s not made in-house since I’ve seen the same one at other local cafés. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy your order. The staff are friendly, quick, and make you feel right at home. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, a mid-day pick-me-up, or something special to take home, Ramone’s delivers every time.“

“One of the few (only?) places in McKinleyville that offers a large assortment of baked goods and pastries alongside excellent coffee. There are usually a few savory sandwiches offered as well.

We were particularly impressed by the fact that the iced coffee includes coffee ice cubes, yay!

Because of the open plan layout within a small space, the location is fine for a quick bite and chat, but not particularly atmospheric for a longer hangout.“

“We live close to Ramones and find ourselves here all the time. Their cakes are delicious. We got our wedding cake from them, and they did a great job. They're sandwiches, sweet potato fries, and a lot of their dinner dishes are so good! We love having this cafe nearby 💚“

I have never experienced a more positive work environment nor felt as welcome as I have here since day one. There's good reason this Cafe has been so successful for so long.
