so let me just address the picture. this was supposed to be hot chocolate, but does this look like what hot chocolate is supposed to look like to you? i don't think so. the soy milk is clearly separated from the chocolate sauce and i have never been more disappointed. my tuition money should be going to improving their nasty not chocolate because clearly it needs some help.

I love the setting, but for non-students/ alumni the coffee is pretty expensive.

What I Love about this library is that you can reap the benefits of various resources especially if you're at HSU student or alumni. For instance you can rent out books, articles or scientific periodicals from other California state universities and I was told also order from international Universities. The benefit of being a grad school is that you can have books up to one year until return date is due and rent out their cam corders and camera for an extended period of time . I started off at this school in 2017 and I definitely have seen many renovations through the years including the café, study rooms, tall shelving and interactive group desks, where group members can meet an use a TV to connect to class projects or the Internet. Till this day the library still has a glass case where they display a wide assortment of clubs, issues and events on campus, with nice added touches of regalia/memorabilia! I highly appreciate the fact that this library recycles electronics this can be found at the exit of the library in the main entrance.

Pretty good spot for a quick hangout or coffee, not as great as some of the places in Arcata or Eureka but its on campus and located in the library so I can't complain.

Definitely have always been a fan of the HSU library. There are only two reviews so far? Seriously? School pride anyone? But hey, maybe folks just aren't in the mood to help review while studying for finals. Good luck with finals and have a great summer!

Nice cafe in the library, they have an array of food during the day and drinks. They have a nice tea selection and pretty good hours. I wish they were open later, but the market place isn't far if you need food/drink after 8 so its not that bad.

A great reference and research tool resource for not only the university students but the community as well. I've been able to find information on pretty much everything I've ever looked for through this campus library. During school session the place closes late, running long hours and personnel are usually on hand. The cafe is a nice touch to grab a fresh coffee or drink while reading or researching. This library is a wonderful facility with several good in library research/study sources available along with most up to date online tools for students and community members alike. I use this library regularly for research and have pretty much always been able to find what I was looking for, anyone looking for information they cannot find through their regular research sources should give this library a try. 4.25 Stars - rounded up for the cafe and keeping long hours. 00462

Amazing library services not just for students but also for community. Has incredible hours when school is in. Services include In-Library use of materials, databases and online journals, printers, etc. if community members really want a card it's $40 per year and goes for a great cause. They do have computers too but you will need to first register as a short-term user. Last but not least they Finally have a cafe in the Library!!!! Genius. Kudos to whoever made that happen.

This library is a very rude place where vain youth exercise their freedom of speech blatantly without reservation. The library used to be a quiet place of contemplation but now it has become a social gathering place. In my day a librarian was hired to keep the quiet in most areas of the library and loud whispering was even discouraged, but now I can see that paradigm has changed for the worse. Are libraries now to become noisy places? Where is one to go?
