Skip the drip. Been coming here for years for a simple dark roast + half and half. Used to be my favorite in the area. Over the last few years, Riptide has seemed to lose its dark roast mojo. Not sure if the half and half they’ve used is rotten or the beans are acrid or they accidentally swapped in medium/light roast beans but if what you want is dark roast and cream skip this spot. Stu’s Brews in Eureka is the best! And for a closer alternative, Ramone’s in McKinleyville is a reliable alternative.

My dad pulled up in his truck to buy coffee and the manager insulted him several times about his face mask and on top of that she had the gall to ask for a tip.

I got charged 23.50 twice by the lady up front, when I brought it up to them they I was charged two times and had paid 47 dollars for 2 drinks and 2 bagels I was told to come back in multiple days which is an issue seeing as I live all the way in Redding. Not happy about it

We stopped here for coffee and breakfast before heading out to explore the redwoods. We got a turkey and cheese croissant, bagel with cream cheese, a latte and one of their specialty blended drinks. Everything we got was great but the real stand out was the friendly and quick service. We’ll definitely be back!

This coffee was delicious!! I got a white mocha breve and the espresso was not watery or burnt at all and the gluten free coffee cake muffin was amazing! Thank you Riptide 🤗

As a loyal customer find it very ridiculous that the stamp cards can not combined. I drive different cars and have my stamp cards in my car, and when I had a total of 10 coffees purchased I tried to redeem them only to be told each individual card needs to be full in order to be redeemed. I have never heard of this process before and each time when asked if I want a stamp card this should have been explained instead of getting several different cards over a period of time only for it to not matter. Pretty annoying.

The first time I went, I declared it my fav coffee on this end of town. I went back today and spent $7 on what tastes like burnt black coffee but what supposed to be a creamy, sweet peppermint mocha. It’s watery and white frankly gross and a waste of money. So, I say this cafe is VERY hit or miss. It’s risky! But service is great, folks are lovely.
