We came here for dinner during our road trip to the area. Tried the shrimp tempura, edamame, lemon salmon sashimi, salmon donburi (new seasonal) and the Alaskan sushi. The sushi, donburi and tempura were great.

Sushi Spot never disappoints! The staff are attentive and knowledgeable about all things sushi. The menu has a wide selection of delicious sushi rolls with every possible filling you could imagine. There are six or seven different types of vegetarian rolls, and the miso soup can be ordered vegetarian, as well! The best part about our last visit to Sushi Spot is that the chef was willing to make us a special dessert roll with sweet egg, strawberry, macadamia nuts, and a strawberry compote topping. This creation was so well rounded and absolutely delicious, it should be added to the menu! Thanks for accommodating us, Sushi Spot, and we look forward to dining in again soon!

Got the tofu teriyaki and it was just tofu along side white rice. Not much sauce at all and no vegetables or anything else. Veggie sushi was ok but a little skimpy on the ingredients not much flavor, and there was no wasabi or soy sauce (to go order). They have a vegan option for miso soup, which was not the greatest or the worst. Got the vegetable gyoza. Was soggy and burnt at the same time. All this said, it was still edible and not the worst. Grateful to eat and have vegan options.

I've been coming here for years, they have always had excellent quality fish and good prices. The regular menu is great, and I really enjoy the creative specials they offer. The sesame ginger oyster shooters are irresistible! I make an effort to eat here each time I'm in Arcata.

Don’t listen to the low reviews, low reviews are wack. Amazing service, the staff were amazing. The food was great. I’ve had sushi all across the country and the Moonstone roll I had was easily in my top 3. The atmosphere was homey and welcoming. 10/10 would definitely recommend ❤️
I want to give a huge shout out to Yuki, our fantastic waitress Friday night. She was so attentive once she realized I have a gluten sensitivity. She was great at suggesting alternatives. She was sweet, friendly, and kind.

We went to the sushi spot tonight knowing it may take a long time, as it is usually busy, But we actually waited on are sushi deep fried rolls for 20 min when I could Clearly seen them sitting up there. When we got the food it was cold and just didn't sit right with what I had ordered. This has happen twice with 2 different waiters/waitress. bring my food out when it hot

Passing by the City of Arcata while on a Pacific Coastal Road Trip and stopped by to see a friend in the area and met up here by the recommendation of the friend. The food is good & fresh and the service is relatively fast.
Plenty of street parking and the restaurant is located right by the Arcata Plaza which is the center of the town with lots of cute boutique shops around the square.
Recommend to stop by for a quick bite!
