This is the best food in Humboldt County.
A hole in the wall, owner operated, And an incredible atmosphere. The owner rolled our sushi and put up with our banter. The food and flavors were unique and the best I’ve had in the area. I will definitely be back. Yummy

We’ve eaten at Tanuki’s Den twice and both times have agreed it’s the best sushi we’ve ever eaten. Jacob has a way of putting flavors together to create a unique and amazing roll. Every bite is so delicious and leaves you wanting more! I highly recommend Tanuki’s Den!

It is a small space, so limited and close seating, reservations are a must, but easy to make online.
Prices are comparable to most nicer restaurants in Humboldt.
Everything was so good, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be going there again! Best sushi in Humboldt IMO!
