LOVED this place. We are from out of town (Florida) and came to visit the Redwoods. Was searching and searching for the right place to eat after a day of hiking out butts off (10 miles!) and stumbled upon this place nestled out of the way. The way I score a Mexican restaurant begins with their chips and salsa. First they offered it complimentary, always a good start. The salsas are good, especially their pico de gallo. The chips are not my favorite, they are a little gritty.

I ordered a super quesadilla burrito with birria, so I was pretty excited. It didn't end up being what I was hoping for. I didn't really notice the quesadilla part. I was hoping for a little more crunch in the tortilla...

There Quesabirria tacos are the best food I have ever had. 11/10. There Pico de Gallo is so flavorful and easily the best in Humboldt. My only critique for this restaurant is one of the female employees never smiles and acts rude on the phone. Overall very good.
