Note: This is coming from someone who lived in the Tea Garden Suites (located in the very back of the complex) and not the Apartments proper that face F Street and/or 11th/12th Avenue(s)That said, DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW SUFFERS FROM SEASONAL DEPRESSION! My experience living here was extremely dismal, to say the very least. There is no natural light throughout the entirety of the Suites building, as the building next to F Street, there is constant noise from the freeway right next to the building, and the living rooms are bland as all hell and look like a liminal space. If I were to mention one good aspect, it's that it's within walking distance from the Arcata Plaza and Wildberries, which is convenient for those who want to walk/bike to get groceries or whatever. This might not apply to some, as I lived on the bottom floor of the Suites, but if you so desire to move here, do yourself a favor and buy a plant or decorate the living room.Oh, and good luck trying to get yourself some sleep, because there's a building down the street that blares a bunch of bird noises on loudspeakers 24/7.

It's such a chill place. I like how they have a variety of drinks and especially that they serve tea.

Super rude staff, treated us like we were an inconvenience or something. Place was nearly empty when we went and if this is how it is normally I can see why. Just another crummy dive bar with a crummy attitude,.don't even waste your time

So grateful for Richard's Goat. It's a place I feel comfortable going for film, food, and tasty artisanal beverages. I'm so glad they made it through the pandemic and made it clear they prioritize the health and safety of their customers and employees while doing it. I look forward to visiting again!!

Very rude bartender and the ambience of the place wasn't very welcoming. Hopefully it was just an off night, but we left after our experience. There are other great local options in the area we'd go to before coming back here.

Delicious one-of-a-kind cocktails, in a hip, velvety atmosphere. Occasional theme nights and unique music make this spot a favorite lounge among locals who crave a sophisticated weirdness. Minimal but tantalizing food menu.

Everyone knows that the Goat is the best! I always ask Miss Gina for customized drinks and she invents literally the best drinks I have ever had right on the spot. The karaoke is the best you will find anywhere. Everyone gets so involved and there's a full stage setup for the singers. On top of that, the food is as good as any restaurant. I love the tater tots with curry ketchup.

This has been consistently my favorite public space in all of Arcata. Great drinks, snacks, jukebox and wonderful events at the Miniplex next door.

This bar has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Their welcoming atmosphere and delicious cocktails and taco night on Tuesdays make an amazing addition to Arcata!

If you're looking for a place for a delicious cocktail and awesome environment, check this place out! They have a new cocktail of the week, and the presentation is beautiful. It is like a lounge feel inside, but there is also some outdoor seating, and they have a movie theatre! I stopped in with a girlfriend foe a cocktail, and it was delicious, the vibe was good, and I will definitely be back! Good mixology, good service, and good vibes.

I miss the Goat so much! Haven't been since COVID started, but I'm so excited for the return of karaoke! I've also had really pleasant experiences with the staff, and really enjoy the ambiance of the place.

drinks were good according to my group, but the Buffalo Mac was still partly frozen when served and the bartender/waitress lady was not nice. She refused to serve me a drink because someone else in my group didn't have an ID with them.

I really like this bar, went two nights in a row while I was in Arcata. The bar itself is cool, and has a venue where the show movies and live music attached to it as well. I like the decor, it's strange and pretty. The cocktails are delicious and I love the names. I got the "from dusk til dawn" because I love that movie and tequila. They even have a mocktails menu, which was cool because my bf doesn't drink and we ordered. Few off that, also delicious. Their snacks are good too! We had the curry tots. All the bartenders are friendly and make good drinks. Would definitely recommend the goat.

Um so random. Good drinks and tea selections. I tried a detox tea so hope I poo. I had a tamarind based drink and a tequila chamomile drink. Stiff. I learned a new card game. Will return.

This place has definitely gone down hill. I used to come to the Goat all the time, but ever since they hired some new people the atmosphere has completely changed. The staff is incredibly rude. Once I ordered a drink and stumbled over the name, and paused a little when I said it, the girl behind the counter said that I could only get it if I didn't "talk weird." ??? It was such a mind boggling experience. Oh and don't accidentally give too much when you pay the bartender will think it's a tip even if you give a $20 on a $7 drink. Make sure you have exact change or you'll get your money swiped.
