The best breakfast we have had in quite some time. There were 3 of us, from out of town, visiting our niece & grand niece, and this restaurant was recommended. Absolutely did NOT disappoint.Highly recommended!!!Vegetarian options: Veg bacon.

We were greated at the door and seated promptly. It took a long, long time for someone to take our order. Then it took 40 min to get one French Dip Sandwich. No one ever gave us a bill. I kindly asked the hostess for a take out box. She told me.she was too busy getting tables ready and would give me a box later. There was no one waiting for a seat... She had boxes right at her finger tips and walked past me 5 or 6 times. I went up to pay. No one was at the register. I picked up my own take out box and left the appropriate money plus a tip for our server. The food was good. The wait time and hostess was very poor.

Absolute gem of a place and would recommend to anyone stopping by for a bite to eat before heading out to the forest. Felt stuffed and ready to go for the day!

Excellent food, service, prices and very convenient in downtown Arcata. Location on the Arcata plaza. Always good seating.

Jeff and his crew food is always pleasing. You can tell they love what they do. Come early to get a seat.

Very small portions, $12 for French toast includes a single piece of French toast cut in half, $11 breakfast sandwhich with no sides, 4.75 for a chai which was very weak.

Hands down best breakfast spot in Arcata. It does not matter how busy they are, the service is always on point. The food is always fantastic especially the Karen's potatoes. Place is a little snug but adds to the overall laidback ambiance of the restaurant. Big Blue is always the right choice when it comes to breakfast in Arcata.

Big blue is super unrated. Huge portions inexpensive and good quality food. Great location right on the plazza. The Benedict is served with a massive portion of potatoes and their huavos rancheros never fails to satisfy.
