So been here often because friends meet here but service can vary greatly. One time, the bartender questioned my ID, and another time, the beer tasted awful and I asked for something different, full glass, but NOPE, sorry. This wasn't my first drink. Most places don't have and issue...so don't expect any great service...guess they deal with too many college kids to treat customers they way other establishments do.

This is such a great place! We just love hanging out here after the farmers market, have a cider, a hand pie, and a sweet treat! Best part about this place, is is family friendly.

Good place to hang out, but they don't let you try things first like every other taproom I've been to. I got a beer I didn't like and didn't feel like taking a risk with any coders.

Comfy, warm taproom with good pies. Service was excellent. Beer selection is nice, they have ciders but also other beer styles which we appreciated. We got the chicken pot pie, veggie empanada, and chocolate mousse and lemon raspberry pie. 10/10 recommend stopping by here!

Love love love it here. Tyler is super fun and personable and got a delicious flight lined up for us. We were visiting from out of town and he gave great recommendations on things to do and overall had a great vibe going at the bar. The space is pretty chilly with the big garage door but if you don't mind that then it's a great place to

Always a decent spot for a warm empanada or pot pie. Delicious drink options and pies for dessert.

Never had 'bucha before so didn't know what to expect.. tried the "It's Alive" ginger berry... and it was really tasty! Really chill ambiance. Not too crowded even on a Saturday at noon. Go see Ada at the bar, she's soooo nice! Ask her about plants!!

This place used to be bittersweet...literally not figuratively, that was it's name. A large selection of ciders ranging from dry as the Mojave desert to sweet as your grandmothers cookies awaits you in a post industrial decor with ample outside seating. There are some beers on tap and local kombucha for those who prefer not to indulge in the alcoholic side of fermentation. If you get hungry a slice of Humboldt pie is also part of the establishment , serving delicious hand pies, chicken/veggie pot pies and full size sweet and savory pies. The pies are truly delicious and made with quality local ingredients and the empanadas are on par with some of the best I have had in South America. A welcome addition to the downtown food and drink offerings, the local cider bar is worth checking out because as Henry David Thoreau said, "the apple is the noblest of fruits."

The food and drink are great, the obnoxious Blonde guy working there is loud, and foul-mouthed. Kids and all in the shop and he is loudly swearing, and talking to other employees and some friends of his.Made what would have been a solid 5 star experience 2 at best, because of him.

From the cider to the ambiance to the staff members, I highly enjoyed my night at The Local Cider Bar. What drew me in were their comfortably priced ciders ranging from $8 for 10oz and only $3 for 5oz! I enjoyed their hard kombuchas and their blueberry in house cider; it had a drier yet tangy taste. And Tyler was just the absolute sweetest, he had the best recommendations. Perfect spot to catch up with your friends and enjoy and drink or two or three ;)
