On the return trip after visiting Big Tree State Park, we came by this restaurant. We didn't expect much from the outdoor appearance. However when we read the menu ( lunch menu) all the lunch combos are very cheap compared to those in Sacramento. We just ordered three lunch combos for four of us. The food was pretty good and we couldn't finish them. It was a very good deal. We definitely will return someday.

We eat at Arnold Chinese restaurant every year we stay in Arnold. We’re from the Bay Area and eat lots of Chinese food & Arnold is comparable to many Bay Area restaurants: authentic, fresh, tasty and “spot right on”. We had sweet & sour fish fillet, Singapore style curry noodles & chicken long beans. The portions are ample we had plenty of leftovers. There’s a The prices are EXTREMELY Reasonable. Large menu, friendly service & plenty of parking. Closed Mondays. Open lunch & dinner.Highly recommended!
Vegetarian options: As in most Chinese restaurants Arnold Chinese restaurant has many vegetarian dishes to choose from: tofu, veggie dishes.
Parking: Large parking lot in a strip mall shared by a large supermarket, Togo and another great tasting restaurant called Heart and Soul.
Kid-friendliness: As we were eating there were several young 7-12 year old kids playing in the restaurant without any problems.

Tasty food served with a smile. Plus spacious and clean. The food was very nice. We are vegetarians - the staff and chef took special care to make it extremely tasty and nutritious. We were a gang of ten. We had four noisy children. They were still polite and didn’t mind the chaos. I highly recommend this place

I love Arnold Chinese!! It's my go-to when I don't want to cook. My family's favorites are hot and sour soup, combo chow mein, and orange chicken. No matter what I try from the menu, it's delicious!
I was raised eating Chinese food in SF. I live in Sacramento now and nothing there compares to this place. We usually get take away. Everything is fresh and well seasoned with being overpowering with heavy sauces. House Chow Mein, Green Bean with Chicken & Shrimp Egg Foo Young. Consistently Outstanding ❤️

When I mentioned I had AGS (deadly allergy to mamillian meat) and that I can only have chicken, fish, and shrimp. The older lady on the phone told me pork is white meat.A night of intestinal cramping, diarrhea, and vomting led me to investigate the leftovers.Sure enough there is pork in my chicken dish.Boo. The food is amazing though!
