WOW this place is so good!! We ordered to go quesabarrilla tacos (edit, barillia tacos on DoorDash aren’t the same as the quesa barillia we ordered in the restaurant so be aware of that) and I can’t even express how delicious they were. We’ve had them many places and they were hands down the best we’ve ever had. There was even rice at the bottom of the consume that we scooped up with chips and ate it that way. The restaurant has a really nice patio that we probably would have enjoyed if it wasn’t raining and it was very clean. They have a salsa bar with a lot of options as well. Best Mexican restaurant in town by far! We can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.

Great little spot with a huge patio! This isn't the sort of Mexican restaurant if you're looking for lots of spice, but they make up for it in flavor. Tried the quesobirria with juice. The birria was tender and delicious. Messy but not overly oily. I couldn't leave without finishing all the juice. The servers were nice and very quick. A lovely little spot for lunch!

We happened upon this gem while attending the Arroyo Grande Farmer Market on a Saturday. We were traveling through from Portland, Oregon. I did a quick search for quick eats and La Costa came up and was just blocks away. The menu, the service, the salsa bar and the fact that they made Chile Colorado (maybe the best I’ve had) was absolutely worth the quick walk and great price. The food was just exquisite and this family run restaurant will definitely be remembered and attended by us again. Do yourself a favor and go to La Costa Grill!Parking: We walked, but ample parking was available.

Terrible food! Ordered a carna asada burrito and they gave me what looked like a taquito. Hardly any meat but rice and beans, for 14 dollars you get better food at taco bell. I would not recommend this establishment.

But in this case we are not talking about rhythm and blues---we're talking about rice and beans. They are the benchmark for Spanish restaurants. In this case the bench was in poor shape. The rice was so mushy it about had the consistency of oatmeal. Refried beans if left too long after they have been cooked taste sour. My wife grimaced when she tasted them. But she is really picky so I took a taste. SOUR! It doesn't matter much after that as 1/2 of the meal was not edible. To be honest the Chile Rellano was good, but the taco shells were preformed. Sorry, but we won't be back

I just tried to eat a chicken and steak burrito, and it was only beef.On top of that, every single solitary piece of chopped beef was completely inedible - tough and very, very chewy.So disappointed b/c I was starving and had just wasted my time and money.Won't be going back.
