My family and I had delayed going to this ice cream shop as they received very poor reviews when they first opened in Arroyo Grande. But this weekend we went to the Arroyo Grande Village. First, we went to Hubbalicious, and tasted their ice cream. Their ice cream had no flavor. So, we decided to try Rori's Artisanal Creamery. The ice cream is VERY DELICIOUS! We loved the Coffee ice cream and the Dark Chocolate ice cream. The service was excellent too. My only complaint is that they were out of whip cream. I had bought a sundae, but it felt more like a 2 scoop ice cream as it had no whip cream and no cherry. I think I paid too much for 2 scoops with a little hot fudge and cone crumbs. But it was very good! We will definitely return!

Just went to buy $52 of ice cream. Gave them a $100 bill. Was told “we cannot take a bill over $20, I explained that for $52 of ice cream I should be able to pay $100 for it, they refused to take my $100 even though I offered them 5 different $100 bills. The “manager” became part of the conversation and told me “their bank will not accept $100 bills.” I will not buy anything from them again untill they can figure out what a $100 bill looks like

Unfortunately this place seems to have sucked the soul out of the building. Comparing it to Doc Burnsteins is like night and day. I really really wanted to like this place, but it just absolutely fell flat on all accounts. They kept the train but little else remains and it literally feels like a bland movie set. Everything is bland, white and not colorful or cheerful. There are also not any chairs for people who are disabled or not skinny. Good luck fitting into a booth if you are most people in this country. The stools are not great for children to sit on. My mom literally fell onto the floor getting out of the booth and none of the workers even noticed or offered to help us at all. Yes she did not want to make a fuss and didn't yell or anything, but come on. The workers were nice when we directly interacted, but no one greeted us, no one offered samples, and it was just such an overall bland experience. They painted over the murals on the walls. The historical photos are all gone. There are no community announcements or any involvement or feel of community in there at all. The menu is confusing, as they mention toppings on the kids menu but they don't bother listing them anywhere. They're in jars that look like decorations just sitting in the middle of the two ice cream displays. Also, why do you have one freezer closed but with the names of the flavors on there? Just have them all open at once like they used to? The ice cream I got was okay. It was banana but it just wasn't anything great. There was not a depth of flavor. The chocolate for kids is dark salted chocolate and way too rich. All in all we just felt like we had such high hopes and the whole experience was a complete let down. The word bland just perfectly describes how this place feels which is unfortunate. Someone just needs to inject some life into this woefully mediocre ice cream shop.

They offer a lot of flavors that are seen less often that are simple like root beer and malted milk ball. The malted milk ball is good. Their prices are a bit higher than other local areas. The service is good.

The best in town!!! Love the dairy free options, well worth the price for such high quality and delicious flavors.

There is nothing special about this ice cream. It is mediocre at best and it does not deserve the title of "artisanal". For mediocre ice cream 8 dollars a scoop plus 1 dollar extra for a cone is way to much. That may work in Montecito, and Santa Monica, (their other locations) but ruining it for locals and kids that walk around in the village after school is just plain mean. You guys have made a stupid business and financial decision. I make a prediction that you guys will not last another full year. Either you guys lower your prices, make better ice cream, or leave OUR beloved Arroyo Grande Village.

Fun flavors, honey lavender was a must for me but I had to give a few of the other flavors a try. Definitely something for everyone and the scoops were generous! I wish I’d taken a picture of my ~delicious~ ice cream but I was too distracted by the cute little train chugging along the track.

My family really enjoyed our visit to Rori's Artisanal Creamery. The ice cream was delightful, and we were impressed by both the friendly staff and the inviting atmosphere. It's unfair to compare them to Doctor Burnstein (we went only once and didn't enjoy it much). We find Rori's to be much more to our liking. The staff was welcoming, allowing us to sample various ice cream flavors. The portions were generous and delicious. Can't wait for summer to visit again!

A very cute ice cream parlour! They had a lot of interesting flavors. I loved their interior, especially the motorized train up above! I got the fresh mint patty and it was delicious :) My boyfriend and I got a double scoop and since my boyfriend isn't a fan of mint flavored ice cream, they willingly put it in separate cups which we were grateful for! Would love to visit again and try their other flavors!

$8 for a single scoop. Not open for dessert hours. When we most recently came in, we looked around and the worker didn't even acknowledge that we walked in.

I'd like to second the opinions of the other reviewers, the staff is SO patient and kind. I love ice cream and can never decide what to get so keep up the good work! Highly recommend the espresso...it's the ultimate cuppa joe (each scoop has a cup of espresso in it). My pal got it and the Chocolate Monster (with brownie bits) and we were able to drive all the way home to the desert, no problem, lol. This place is clean and such a community treasure! And, forgot to mention this is some excellent dense artisanal ice cream for sure, and the fact that you can Mix one scoop with two flavors is such a great concept for folks like me who cannot decide, but don't want to get two scoops. Such a kind gesture, very much appreciated. Feels human and not corporate:)

Delicious ice cream! It was thick, like custard-style. There were so many yummy flavors to choose from, and the girl working at the counter was so patient with me, while I tried multiple flavors and was being indecisive on what to order.
