Best breakfast in town

For starters the service was good but what ruined it all was the fact that one of the waitress' had an old dirty bandaid hanging off her thumb while handling food. Even picking off food off the side of plates with bandaid thumb . Once I noticed, I felt like throwing up, completely disgusting. Won't be coming back.

Just a lil breakfast spot. Our server was really attentive and helpful, and the food was all freshly made and delicious. Trust them when they say that the spicy salsa is spicy! 😍

Waited 45 minutes for two plates. Corn beef and hash with potatoes and over easy eggs. 3 meat omelet with hashbrowns. Had a other couple come in after us. Got sat, ordered their food, got their food within minutes and we were still waiting. Got out plates after making a complaint and got my omelet RAW. Cheese in the middle was a frozen block not even melted. Asked for a box within 5 minutes of getting our plate. And after ALL THAT all we got were our drinks of coffee and orange juice taken off our $50 bill. Very very disappointed.

Best place to eat breakfast for sure I take my mom once a week if I can. Such wonderful staff and delicious food.

I wouldn't recommend the Special (Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast.) For $15.95—yes, that’s correct $15.95—it consists of just two pieces of white bread, a couple of strawberries, a bit of cream cheese, and some whipped topping. No eggs, no sides, nothing substantial to justify the price. Sadly, it was more disappointing than indulgent. Definitely not worth it.

I love Village Cafe!! Monday with Albondigas soup from scratch and shared a whole biscuits and gravy with my dad!

This charming cafe is everything you remember best about the breakfast and lunch place where you grew up. Very home cooked, simple all American fare that's very well done. There's a wonderful variety of homemade muffins, standard breakfast items and sandwiches. Nothing too fancy and everything's delicious. You feel like part of the family by the end of your meal.

Nice place. Seems a routine stop for locals, not there is anything wrong with that.
Great, super friendly staff, good food
We were passing through the area, took a chance and simply stopped to get a bite. It worked out perfectly.

Amazing breakfast! Generous portions and made as requested. Service is very friendly and we were well taken care of. Would recommend you pass the hipster bakery cafe and eat here!

What a pleasant surprise, I have been visiting Arroyo Grande for decades and so glad we ventured into the Village Cafe. Breakfast was delightful! Chile verde was a tasty meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal and experience.
