Inaccurate star rating! We went here based on the Star reviews. When you get your check to pay, it's says on the inside "do a Yelp review, get 10% off bill" No wonder it has almost a 5 star rating We did NOT do a yelp review to save 10% off our tab. Dosa are not good!! they are super thick, soft, and folded Sambar is THICK in consistency. Tastes like Dal. We usually go to Udupi, very good There was a long wait at Udupi so decided to try Chennai Dosa It was a waste of money Should have waited at Udupi. Sincerely,

Service was friendly and food . We got the special dosa, ghee roast masala, and paneer biriyani. The yelp listing has the wrong number! The new one is: 5622029418

Usually when I come here, everything is good. But my last visit was.... I came with my family. Everyone had ordered dosa but I ordered the Biryani. I understand, cooking dum biryani takes long time but my whole family had finished eating(even my grandma who is slow eater) and my order was still not there. It doesnt make any sense for me to sit and eat now, so I ordered it to go. When I ate it at home, I can say the quality of the Biryani was not the same as before. It was spicy yes, which is fine, but that's it. It was just chili rice. Really ruined the mood. In the morning I had to recook it myself so I could taste the other spices. If you will make me wait for my order, it's fine. But atleast make sure it's worth the wait.

This little place is tucked away behind a cash and carry, near Saree stores and jewelry stores. Walking in , it's very small but you caN get away with a group of 8 comfortably inside. I sat alone so it was was still to just grab a table. * I ordered the Paper masala dosa which is stuffed with spiced onions and spiced potatoes. Comes with sides of chutneys and a lentil soup. ** Chicken tikka masala was another order I placed in. It's an a la carte dish, so I opted not to order rice since I have the dosa. The food took longer than anticipated, but that just means it was much more fresh. Which I didn't mind at all! Once the food came out, my dosa came out first followed by chicken tikka masala. The dosa masala was just ok. The bread alone was delicioua but I expected mor flavor out of the masala stuffing ( onions and potatoes) it was bland. The potatoes were yellow from the spices and you can tell the onions were caramelized, but they still had no flavor!? As I dipped it into the tomato chutney, that was explosion in my mouth. LOL, the spices were perfect and the flavor was amazing with the dosa and potato masala. Then I took the dosa and dipped it into my chicken tikka masala, oh my God! That was such good tasting chicken tikka masala. Probably by far the best I've had yet. I would literally come back for the plain paper dosa and the chicken tikka masala only. Those two combine together were amazing. I agree with a lot of other people when they say they serve water in plastic cups and some of the utensils don't look thoroughly clean. But I did see the guy washing and hand drying everything, so I just think they're older utensils and cups. The water did not come with ice it was room temperature which was kind of yucky. Maybe next time I order chai! I would definitely recommend trying this place once or twice to see what you really like and try array of things since it's really inexpensive which is one of the reasons why I also gave it four stars.

I miss places like this. You just feel right at home. Bathroom busy? Use the kitchen sink. Hot, fresh, crispy yet tender dosas filled with savory and sweet fillings while the Bollywood music wafts in from the next door. Suddenly you are in India.

Yummy (and spicey!) dosa place. We enjoyed the onion and Chennai dosa and loved it. Very fresh with lots of good heat. We also ordered the kids dosa for our two year old. For the kiddos, maybe stick to just the ketchup sauce as the other dipping sauces might be too spicey for the untrained palate, haha. Over all delicious and we will be back again!

First timer! Ordered the Chennai Dosa special and Gulab Jamun. Can't wait. Really nice staff and quick service. Parking is plentiful when it's not peak. Get a taste of India and your Dosa fix!

I love having Indian food, because it's delicious and it's very flavorful. My friend recommended this place because she's familiar with little India. I got the chana masala, and it was delicious! I gotta admit that Indian people have some delicious food as long as you know what you like. This place also has some good dosas. My friend likes to order their dosas. Any of them are good!
