Wow, Awaze amazed us last night!First time eating Ethiopian food and we’re hooked!My boyfriend and I are vegans and we were pleased to have a full vegan menu. We went with the Veggie Combo Special which is a great dish for sharing and trying everything on the menu! And we also had the Dirkoshe Firfir which was AMAZING!! Their berbere sauce is addictive.The service was excellent. They are the kindest people! Me and my better half went for dinner We're vegan and had lots to choose from..we both got the awaze veggie combo so we could try everything..definitely a great choice..the food was so delicious and flavorful..highly recommended we can't wait to go back.. thanks❤️Vegetarian options: They had lots to choose from a page in thr menu just for vegan options

Awaze was recommended to me by an Ethiopian friend. Told me that the food is very authentic. It was and was delicious. They were friendly and made sure we were enjoying our meal. Will make it my regular restaurant when I am in Artesia.
Absolutely delicious! We got the beef and veggies sampler platter, at the recommendation of the owner. A great sampler of absolutely delicious food. The service was fast, place was lovely, and people incredibly friendly. Cannot recommend enough!

Says it’s open on Sunday but it is not. And the phone line is disconnected when you try to call.Been wanting to try this place for a few weeks very disappointed after driving a half hour out.In response: i came at 4 knocked and called and stayed around until 430 when none answered.I do not believe this was a thing of time i think you simply did not open at the hours you posted. Which makes sense as you did not respond to my review until 5:05pm

We had spent the day at universal eating mediocre food, then this savior of a restaurant fed us the most delicious homestyle Ethiopian food. Nutritionally balanced, low on oil, not overly spicy, and fabulous on flavor. My husband said it was so good, it made him want to cry. We will definitely be coming back.Vegetarian options: They have an entire vegan section that is also nut free.Parking: Small parking lot with lots of available spots.Kid-friendliness: Some kids were sitting in the back section watching TV during our meal.Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the second floor, but there is an elevator and a curb cut out to reach elevator.

So far, the best Ethiopian food I have found in LA. Found this place while car shopping nearby, now it has become a regular stop every time I am driving by on the 605. It can be a little tricky to find but worth it in the end.

Very satisfying meat or veggies dishes. Over arching sour flavors, you have to understand this component. Low-fi, clean, pleasant sour-oundings that made me want to have coffee and stay longer. I ordered the beef stew that comes with the sour bread(injera). I really love African culture that is quiet and pleasant not loud americans talking over each other at dinner

Great place for authentic Ethiopian food. Service was a bit slow, but hospitality of the staff made up for that. Nice ambience showing the culture. A must try.
