It’s an accidental find, a good one. Everything i have tried are exceptional so far it didn’t disappoint me. My go to so far is the Zion cake, it is out of this world not to sweet but perfect for me the cake is so soft i can eat the whole tray in one sitting no exaggeration. I had Zion cake, yema cake, cashew and pistachio sans rival which is omg so good. The owner is super nice, we had a little hiccup with our orders but she took care of it right away. Great customer service. I highly recommend and definitely will come back to try the other flavors. Im looking forward to taste the ube next time (seasonal though, but i bet it’s worth waiting for).

One of the best bakeshops in LA! Sansrival cashew is so yummy and freshly made. Yema cake is one of my fave’s. You have to order in advance if you want to try Pistachio Sansrival. Great customer service!

Bakes and Pastes, a new Filipino cake & pastry shop, recently opened in Artesia, and my sweet tooth had to be assuaged before chaos & bedlam ensued.
BZ cake- BZ cake is Bakes and Pastes' signature cake, so I had to have an individual cake for myself. Dark chocolate cake topped with their signature chocolate sauce, Bakes and Pastes' BZ cake was very moist upon each bite. Simply adorned, without fancy embellishments, the BZ cake was perfectly sweet, without being cloyingly so.
Service was good. Bakes and Pastes is a pickup only shop, without indoor/outdoor seating. The shop is located on the right of The India Restaurant, with a shared parking lot & street parking available.
I was a happy customer after leaving Bakes and Pastes. Their BZ cake worked it's magic on my senses, and I'm eagerly awaiting trying their Sans Rival & Silvana (individual Sans Rival) cakes, next time.
We ordered BZ cake and Yema Cake for the first time today. Ordering was seamless as well as pick up. We got the "not to share" sizes and they are the perfect size and reasonably priced. The BZ cake is bomb! So delicious! The Yema Cake has the softest and fluffiest sponge cake we've ever tasted in a yema cake (and we've had several from various places!). Packaging is classy. We picked up at their Long Beach location and it's a nice/clean neighborhood. Would order again in the future!

We always have loved sansrival.... but this... I didn’t know how good it could be was until I had hers!! I thought they all tasted the same... little nutty, a little buttery. But this... 😱😋 so good. You can really taste the freshness and perfect amount of everything!
My husband loves the pistachio and I love the cashew. Yay! No sharing.
I will have to order a dozen silvanas of each every time. 😆
