I’m giving this place more like a 3.5. Luckily for them the food is excellent. The service was awful. The wait wasn’t that bad at around 40 min. The moment we sat down a rushing waitress showed up asking what we’d order and they dropped off 2 place settings. We were missing 1 napkin for 2 people. Not a big deal and was dealt with quickly. Then someone drops off 1 water and 2 teas so we are short 1 water. They never corrected the issue but it wasn’t an issue as my mother didn’t want ice water anyways, but it’s a bit much to assume. We hadn’t even gotten to look at the menu yet. Then a waitress comes around again before we are ready and we had to send her away again. Then finally we ordered. About 2 minutes later our rice arrives. After that it was a full 30 minutes before we received our food. People around us got their ban Chan and food before us despite ordering after us. All the food and ban Chan arrive at the same time and they are apologizing to us. The waitress (different person this time) asks us if we want tea. I say yes. No tea arrives until I ask. Then need the check. Have to ask again. I understand they are busy but everyone else seemed to be receiving what they ordered in a timely manner. You can probably get away with the delay with a larger table, but not a 2 person table. Our table was the only one that seemed to be waiting that long.

This famous sundubu (soft tofu stew) restaurant is open until 2 AM, so I came here late at night with friends visiting from Korea. We ordered the Galbi/Bulgogi Combo Sundubu, and the meat portions were generous and the taste was so good that my friends even said it was better than in Korea. Of course, the price is higher than in Korea, but the quality makes it worth it.
The staff were very friendly and quickly refilled the side dishes, so I want to compliment them on their excellent service. Even late at night, the place was packed with mostly international customers, so if you plan to visit, be prepared for a wait. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Korean food.

Very good place if you crave Tofu soup. Portion sizes are decent. They have free barley tea but must ask for it.

This is a wonderful restaurant for friends and family! My family and I love to go eat here as it is a very comfortable place to enjoy Korean food. You can see all the workers being very dedicated to their costumers. One employee that stood out to us was Cristine. She is very nice, generous and always very attentive. We are always lucky to have as a server whenever we eat there.

The hostess/manager was super rude to my sister and me. We walked in looking to be seated and she ignored us for awhile. Once she asked if we needed to be seated, she pointed at my 3 yr old nephew asking if he needed a booster seat. I replied, yes. She then rolled her eyes at me and was super rude when I told her he needed one. “Well we have no space available”. She could’ve gave us a wait time but she proceeded to give people boxes and bags. Needless to say, we didn’t want to give this establishment any of our time. Shame on BCD. The hostess/FOH manager needs to not work with people if she’s going to be THAT miserable.

Food was good especially the combos. Waitress forgot my food after my party was served and didn't check up on table. Always have to request.

Thankfully open till late!
Yelp Waitlist at the entry but we were here at 10 pm and there was really no wait .
This is the probably the most common if not the largest chain standard of Soft Tofu soup across the SoCal region.
Side dishes include one whole fried fish, spicy thin cucumber, sesame and carrots in a sesame oil sweet soy sauce base, napa cabbage kimchi, seasoned thin sliced fish cakes - all of these are refillable.
Got a Galbi (LA cut short ribs) combo which comes with a smaller stone pot of soup ( I got the tripe/intestines) - it was okay but I've honestly had better flavor elsewhere, usually at the smaller Korean run or owned spots.
Kids' meal option was well worth it - for the toddler we got the bulgogi combo : came with rice, a whole pack of seaweed laver, small tofu soup (no spice), two fried gyoza.
Very spacious restaurant, lots of parking usually available in this plaza, depending on the time of day.

This place was extremely rude, and we were clearly profiled. I’m Hispanic and Asian but appear more white, and I came with a friend who is Black. We were seated and left waiting for about 20 minutes in the middle of the restaurant while everyone, mostly Asian, stared at us. When we asked our servers for help, they ignored us and continued assisting other guests who had arrived after us, likely because they were Asian-speaking and received better attention.
After waiting 20 minutes, we decided to leave, and the staff actually smiled as we walked out—as if that was their intention all along. I later spoke with a friend who had a similar experience here, which shows this isn’t an isolated incident. It’s truly disappointing to see this kind of behavior still happening in our community, especially from people who come here and show such disrespect to others who call this place home.

Bad experience with my picking up order. The man at the front at lunch time was rude and needed multiple screen confirmations for the pick up order. Personally think my name and phone number should suffice. Will be trying other places for veggie kimbap

So far, the best BCD Tofu House I’ve been to. I wasn’t expecting much since my previous experiences with other BCDs have been poor quality/taste, but this place surprised me. The soondubu (tofu soup) had flavorful broth and a good portion amount of ingredients in the soup (I ordered veggies and there were many veggies and a good amount of tofu.)
BCD is good, but that day the service was off and the food was so so….
