LOVE LOVE LOVE the goat biryani at Pista House. It is very flavorful, tasty, & always served hot. Thank you to Rakesh & his team for serving authentic South Indian biryani in Cerritos, CA.

We went in there with family and friends during the long weekend and the place was an absolute disaster. They were short staffed I think , but that still does not justify horrible service. The food was below average, the naan's were Costco naan's and the server had no shame in admitting to that. We will never be going to this restaurant again .

We love the Pista House so much that we drive the 45 minutes from Beverly Hills to Artesia every other weekend JUST for their authentic Hyderabadi Goat Biriyani. Their spicy curry is so good. Sometimes it's less or more spicy but always delicious. The Goat Chukka is a new favorite. The service is great too, they are very friendly and accommodating to our requests for extra limes, onions, raita etc. The decor is pretty basic but it's clean and we are really there for the food. It's easily our favorite place to eat in Los Angeles and we have tried pretty much every Indian restaurant in LA, because the spices are on point here and the flavor hits every time. It's really the best Biriyani, so come here if you like Indian food.

My boyfriend and I were very happy to stumble upon this small Telugu restaurant in Artesia! The Biryanis were great, especially the Gongura Paneer Biryani. The environment was somewhat uncomfortable with AC not working very well. If you’re someone who’s bothered by that, I would still definitely recommend takeout :)

Overall, my experience at Pista Hous was a bit of a mixed bag. I ordered the Haleem, Lamb Biryani, and butter naan. The Lamb Biryani was the highlight of the meal, with tender meat, fluffy rice, and perfectly balanced spices. However, the same couldn't be said for the naan, which was disappointingly store-bought and left a bad taste in my mouth from the start. It's frustrating when restaurants serve items that can easily be bought elsewhere for a fraction of the price. The Haleem was decent, but it was overly spiced and had an excessive amount of oil. Additionally, finding pieces of bone while eating was a bit off-putting. While the Lamb Biryani was impressive, the lackluster naan and issues with the Haleem make it unlikely that I'll be returning anytime soon.
