This is a modest establishment ran by helpful, friendly caring staff. The food taste great, the prices reasonably priced and generous portions. I always visit when I'm in the area.

I'm from out of town and will start having to budget in flight tickets to come back and try this annually from now on. That's how good this was.

Great binagoongan though nothing else,No one smiles here, everyone seems overworked and unhappy, service charge of 18% for a party, they give you the food but will not return if you need anything and keep avoiding eye contact, we asked for water refill and napkins a few times and no one came back, if you want to risk disappointment to try the binagoongan then i suggest you bring your own water and napkins, people who eat here seems “conditioned” to this type of treatment because items are cheap. Again great binagoongan, all the rest of the food and “service” are just disappointing. Staff are just too stressed out and overworked to care or even apologize.

Crispy House (formerly Magic Wok) – Artesia, CA
I’ve been coming to this restaurant since it first opened in 1986 when it was still known as Magic Wok. As a Filipino, I grew up on my mom’s and Lola’s home cooking—so I don’t say this lightly: when I can’t have a homemade meal, this is where I go.
Now called Crispy House under new ownership, I’m happy to say the flavors are still exactly the same. It’s the kind of place where every dish feels like it was made with care, tradition, and love.
Their Crispy Pata is legendary—perfectly crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside—but honestly, everything on the menu is worth ordering. Some of my go-to favorites are:
* Lumpia Shanghai – crispy, flavorful, and addictive
* Pancit Canton – savory stir-fried noodles that hit all the right notes
* Sinigang – that classic sour tamarind broth with melt-in-your-mouth meat and veggies
* Lechon Kawali – golden, crispy pork belly that’s pure joy with every bite
This spot has been a family favorite for nearly 40 years, and it’s still just as good as I remember. If you’re craving real, comforting, Filipino food that tastes like home—Crispy House is a must-visit.

We often call to place our order here and their food is great but the waiting time is unacceptable. When they say 1 hour wait, they meant more than that. Today I was here again to pickup my order and I had to wait longer for my order. I gave them more than an hour but it was not ready yet when I got here. This place has a potential to expand and grow but they're satisfied with how small and bad their service is.

the place is simple but they have the best crispy pata. Servers are all great , superb customer service. Plenty of parking in the plaza mall. I highly recommend it.

their Lumpia Shanghai is the BEST I’ve tasted in the Cerritos, Artesia, and Long Beach area. The size, portion, and pricing worth every penny!

I hope like a lot of the Filipino Restaurants around the area, they do not change the quality! So far the best!!! So far….

First here, and the food was yummy. I tried 3 dishes and my favorite one was the pork Lumpia. If you haven't tried, you should go.

Possibly the best Filipino Crispy Pata in SoCal. The place is small but has improved from the last time we were there. It didn’t even used to have a business sign, people just knew how to get there. We always just go there to pick up food, Even if you tell them you’re picking up at a certain time, somehow food is never ready and you still have to wait 15+ minutes. Am from LA, but we still travel the distance if we are in the mood for really good crispy pata.
