Now to the food, let me tell you about their plates considering I've been here a few times. Menudo is clean (if you know ya know) Camarones Rancheros very flavorful Chile Verde super satisfying & tender with nopales (cactus) (one of my favs) Lastly the shrimp cocktail super Deliciouso Chicken Flautas crunchy in each bite You can't go wrong here!

I was really looking forward to hitting this place up with the family. I saw their IG reel and it looked good. There was no wait so we got seated right away so that was good but unfortunately that was the best part of our experience. It was Sunday early afternoon and it was not busy which is i found strange. After we got seated the server left and didnt come back for a long time with the menus. She left to get our drinks and took forever again. Fyi, for the amount of customers that were there including us, the restaurant was definitely not under staffed in the front. Once we finally order, the food took super long. The server never came to check on us, she was just standing behind the counter looking lost. I saw they had mariscos so i ordered a campechana. She said they only make a shrimp cocktail. I was disappointed because they didn't have octopus for the cocktail which i found strange. The kids ordered chicken quesadillas which compared to most Mexican restaurants was small. My wife ordered the fajitas which she liked. And them i tried to pay and i had to go find her butbi ended up finding another server and she ended up charging me. The other server never came to check on us, no refills, no nothing. The food in general was mediocre, nothing special, and thats reason i gave it 2 stars because the food and the service was very disappointing. I will not return to Katrinas and do not recommend this place

Waitress was very nice, but the service was pretty slow considering there were only 3 people in the restaurant, all in my party. Food was subpar, I would say some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Ordered the shrimp fajitas, which were overdone, making the shrimp hard. Ordered a quesadilla that was undercooked. Had a pastor sope, I have no idea what seasoning they use, but it was horrible. Also ordered a shrimp cocktail, only item that was somewhat decent, they don't skimp on the shrimp at all. Their house salsa has no flavor. I asked for some green salsa to add on the sope, which actually had a decent flavor. I ordered their lemonade with chia, had very little lemon flavor and hardly any chia seeds, it tasted like sugar water. This is a newer place in Artesia, and I wanted to try them out, but I won't return. Their pricing is high for the quality and flavor of food they serve.

Food took about 40 minutes to come out and it was just warm. Quality was soso. My suprise point was horchata. $5 for fountain horchata comes with small cup and filled with ice. Barely taste horchata flavor and even no refill? Waitress was kind but I probably not going back.
