No Toro Cafe is a great breakfast spot with a cool military-themed atmosphere that gives it a lot of character. The place feels welcoming and has a strong local, community feel.

The chilaquiles are a must-try — flavorful, perfectly cooked, and very filling. You can tell everything is made with care, and the portions are solid. Pair it with their coffee and you’re set for the morning.

Service is friendly and attentive, and the overall experience makes this place stand out from your typical breakfast joint. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re looking for a hearty breakfast with personality.

Highly recommend!

THIS PLACE SUCKS!

Upon arrival, place was not busy at all with plenty of open seating. Guy working made me wait 10 min to be seated although he was not busy at all. It was like he just sat me down when he felt like it. Very small menu and the breakfast burrito sucked! Took a while for the guy to get my drink order, it was like customers bother this dude and are an inconvenience to him, very unfriendly! As I was eating the crappy burrito, other customers were arriving and he kept telling people 15 min wait although he was literally not doing anything and was not busy at all, he just wanted to hang out near the kitchen and talk to his coworkers or be on his phone...

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Slow service, they brought my daughter French toast and 30 minutes after I got my chilaquiles. They need to work on bringing the food at the same, specially a party of two. No excuse for that.

Woke up and really wanted some French toast. In an attempt to order from another breakfast spot nearby, my wife accidentally placed a pick up from this restaurant. She realized her mistake when she went to pick it up but we decided we would give this place a try. We both ordered French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon/sausage.

The eggs were pretty good but disappointingly the French toast was extremely rubbery and chewy to the point where I could hardly break the French toast with a metal fork. Very disappointing considering that some good French toast is all that we really wanted this morning 👎 whoever cooked this really let us down today.

Had the breakfast burrito! Really fresh, great potatoes a little light on the bacon but solid overall. The woman helping me was operating solo and she was super sweet. Wouldn’t mind some homemade salsa but being from SD I know I’m spoiled in that regard.

Parking: First time visiting this restaurant. To start off, the place is small but cozy. When they took our order, I ordered an extra dish to take out since one of my children had stayed home. The hostess who was a waitress and a cook at the same time informed me that they did not have coffee, the tea of my choice or lemon wedges, the food feels homemade and that is good, what makes it bad is the service, at first I thought it was because she was alone but after a short time 2 more people arrived and nothing changed. If you come here you have to come prepared to be ignored. You have to bring your own drink because they will not bring you refills even if you ask for them, I waited almost 30 minutes for them to bring the bill and 40 to wait for a dish that I ordered to take home that never arrived. I asked for a refund, and they did it poorly, and I never got an apology. In conclusion, first and last time I will visit this place.

I'm thrilled to be in full support of our local businesses, especially a veteran owned establishment such as No Toro Café. Try their Chilaquiles, they're delicious! Great stop for a quick bite and a comforting meal.
