The dosas we ordered tasted good but expensive. The service is awful. You have to wait 10-15 min with no one in the restaurant until they finally attend to you. They don't come by to see how you are doing. They hired low level workers who don't speak either. There is no AC, instead they keep the door open and there are a few flies in the restaurant.

We are a group of 5 people. We ordered standard Indian vegetarian food, however, they did not give rice along with the vegetables (sabzi). We spoke with them but they said we were supposed to read the menu. 😠🍚 #Food #Restaurant #Menu #Vegetarian #Complaint

Plenty of parking nearby and lots of space inside, with a clean and traditional vibe that makes dining in comfortable.
We ordered the Chef’s Special Paneer Dosa, Chettinad Chicken Curry, Garlic Naan, and the Podi Dosa with Potato Filling the podi dosa was the highlight, absolutely superb!
Prices are around $15–$25 per person, and they also sell a nice variety of spices to take home. The menu has plenty of options, making it a great spot for dosa lovers and anyone craving authentic South Indian flavors.

I am here at 2:45pm, and it clearly says they close for break at 3:00pm. But they denied to take my order, really pissed off, bad behavior
The worst South Indian food in greater LA area & still every item is overpriced. Meal for two costed $80. Dosa was not at all crispy & they serve sambhar, chutney 10 mins after dosa is served.

Overcharging Customers — Here’s How to Get Your Money Back!
This restaurant charged me more than the menu price. When I raised it, the owner kept pointing to a vague sign over and over saying something like due to increased cost they will charge you more on the bill than the menu price. Nothing on that notice says which item will actually costs more, it was all a guessing game. They could just put the new prices on the menu to make things more clear. But they didnt and she was not cooperating. She just kept on saying that they already put the sign on, so it was not their fault.
Well that sign doesn’t protect them. Under California law (BPC §12024.2 & §17500), it’s illegal to list one price and charge another without clear disclosure. A blanket sign like that holds no legal weight.
They’ve been getting away with this for too long — just look at the other bad reviews. But this time will be different. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company, and I encourage everyone else to do the same. It’s simple: log into your credit card account to file dispute, and the company will do all the work for you. I have done it a few times before to deal with unethical businesses. And my credit card companies always sided with me.
Don’t just leave a review and let them keep the money. Bad reviews won't make them change, money does. File the dispute, get your refund, and make them change their unethical practice. Remember, it easy to get your money back through your credit card company when the restaurant is being this shady.
Meanwhile, bring your money to other Indian restaurants in the area instead.

There is no accountability from the management if the food is late or food is not good or wrong order was served. They don’t care about the customers feedback and except dosa’s ( that too with too much oil ) everything is normal taste and worst biryani’s ever in SoCal. They just feel they have lot of customers coming in and don't care about the customers problems.

If you don't care about service & atmosphere & only the food, this place is gold! Service has defi improved but it's still okay. But good quality is pretty good & the menu has lots of choices! Price & quantity are very reasonable.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Podi Dosa. The staff showed an incredible amount of arrogance when I made a simple request to have the podi served on the side instead of sprinkled on top. This is such a minor adjustment that requires virtually no effort, yet they flatly refused.
To make matters worse, we were a group of four that sat at a six-person table because one member of our group is handicapped and needed a little extra space. Instead of showing understanding or compassion, the staff made us get up and move to a smaller four-person table. That kind of treatment is unacceptable.
The restaurant was half empty at the time, so it wasn’t a matter of them being too busy. On top of that, there’s no air conditioning inside. Unless you want to feel like you’re baking in an oven, don’t even think about coming here in the summer.
When you’re charging nearly $20 for a dosa, the least you can do is show some flexibility, basic courtesy, and provide a comfortable dining environment.
Because of this attitude, lack of compassion, and poor customer service, I will not be returning.
Wow, we had *sky-high* expectations from Podi Dosa — silly us for thinking we’d actually get good food. We ordered 5 dosas (ambitious, we know), but ended up throwing away 3 of them… and not because we were full, but because they were barely edible. The cherry on top? A delightful \\$33 service charge for the privilege of being disappointed. Honestly, even Surati Farsan Mart serves better dosa — and that says *a lot*. Save your appetite and your money. Skip Podi Dosa.
