Yum!! This place is really good to go with big groups and family. I went here on Thanksgiving and one time in December. Props to opening up on Thanksgiving and providing good food! I love that they have the oyster omelette. It is made deliciously. Their food tends to not need additional flavoring. For instance, their hot and sour soup already had the proper spice ingredients for me to want to add any more spice. We got the black bean fish, kung pao chicken, scallion pancakes, and fried tofu. Their menu is just so extensive that there is always something new to try. I love their fried tofu since it is big and fluffy, and the corn starch ratio is 100%. Portions are enormous and make the whole family happy. :D

Visited this place for the first time and was HIGHLY disappointed. Right when you walk in, the strong smell of stinky tofu just slaps you in the face. I wouldn't consider myself a total fan of the dish but I do not want it to be the first thing I smell walking into any restaurant. Secondly, the lady that takes the order is grumpy, short and definitely lacks service/people skills and she clearly looks like she doesn't want to be there, not to mention she's rude as heck. Thirdly, out of the multiple dishes we ordered, only three tasted like legit Taiwanese food you'd get in Taiwan, the other three were so bland and tasteless - complete disappointment. I definitely will not be returning back and it's unfortunate as I don't think there are good authentic Taiwanese restaurants near Cerritos and I had high hopes for this place but they couldn't deliver.

A true gem and an incredible fantastic find. Been craving authentic Taiwanese cuisine, not the typical beef noodle or pork chop rice, but restaurant level authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Searched all over Orange County and boy did I find what I was looking for. Not much to look at from the outside, enter off the hallway door in the parking lot of Quest. The glass door off the street is locked. As soon as you approach the inside hallway door, that amazing aroma of basil, garlic, and the sensory overload that rivals any night market hits you. A bit skeptical at first since a four star rating these days can sometimes be a two star restaurant. All the skepticism melted away at the first bite. Brought back memories of Taipei seafood restaurants, the plump juiciness of the three cup little cuttlefish, the freshness of the Taiwanese small oysters and contrasting basil garlic sauce, wow! To top it off, a stinky tofu large intestine called the large intestine stinky, not to be mistaken with the five root large intestine, an explosion of flavor that keeps you wanting for just one more bite. Three bowls of rice later and an onset of food coma, the faint thoughts of "gotta go back and try everything else" slowly fades into the starry skies as I drift off to sleep. It's all about the food here. Other than the genuine Taiwanese hospitality from the chef, owners, and amazing food, don't expect anything else. Can not wait until next time!

This small spot is unassuming and right next to the Quest learning center, hence the name Quest Yes ? Menu is typical of most Chinese restaurants but this has its own interpretation of Taiwanese cuisine. I really liked the tofu in Crab sauce - there is no whole crab meat pieces at all but rather more crab roe mixed in a sauce / slurry. The green beans were also very nicely cooked, not greasy and just enough seasoning. The whole fish was a fried tilapia in chili oil with more tofu, sometimes fish can taste a bit muddy tasting. The sauce packed a good amount of heat. Bonus: when the food was ready for pick up, they called to let us know. #supportAsianownedBusiness #supportLocalBusiness

I sent my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The dishes they serve are delicious and the team is efficient and cooperative. Every time we eat in this place we have a splendid time. I recommend this place with pleasure.

This review has nothing to do with the quality of food- I have to give them credit for moderately decent food but remember to always check your bill before paying when dinning or ordering. By checking, I mean by comparing the price you are charged against the menu. My parents have always warned me about the owner here charging higher than menu price- she has been doing this for many many years since they were still at the old location. The amount she overcharges you is usually a few bucks- so small that most wont even notice unless you really pay attention to the math. However, imaging her doing this to every or most customers over years.... that amount can really add up!!! We have caught her personally a few times, but yesterday decided to confront the owner in a nice way. She refunded us the difference but blamed her employees for updating pricing in computer system without notifying her. Unfortunately, I knew it was not a one time mistake kinda thing- she ha been doing this for years as I have been warned. This DISHONEST behavior by any business and should not be tolerated. So I encouraged you to double check the next time you pay... as she may be secretly stealing from you wallet for years without you even knowing! Oh and also, owner still allowing indoor dinning at her restaurant DURING COVID PEAK when outdoor dinning are even shut down! She has two tables going on a Saturday at noon and none of the chefs in the kitchen has a mask on. I'd say stay away for now... another dishonest and selfish behavior in my opinion

Angel and Michelle are a sister duo who have been in the Taiwanese cuisine business for decades. Michelle is the chef and Angel is the restauranteur/runs the business side. They offer an array of authentic Taiwanese cuisines that our family loves to choose from. Some favorites include: lions head (pork/beef meat balls), bear claw tofu, pork ribs, string beans, intestine tofu stew, fried fish, and more! They used to operate in a different location under Yummy Boba. So they have the experience and menu for shaved ice and milk teas as well. A solid staple restaurant in the Cerritos neighborhood!

It's okay to eat Taiwanese food.

Subjective: I too, was immensely suspicious of eating here on my first visit. What could this small, hidden, unassuming restaurant have to offer in an area with so many tried and true options? But in the spirit of adventure, we tried it and have been raving about it since. The establishment itself has a feeling like you're eating at your Asian Auntie's kitchen, complete with their occasional somewhat gruff service and always the insistence to eat more. After multiple visits, their standout dish appears to be the crab/egg/tofu. Rich yet light, and full of flavor! Objective: Date of visit: compilation of multiple visits Previous visits: multiple Takes reservations/call aheads? Parking: small lot parking Perceived capacity: small Perceived atmosphere: casual Wait time to seating: none What I/we got: Our usual go to is crab/egg/tofu dish, garlic eggplant, and fried porkchops cost: ~$20 Assessment: 4 stars- solid hole in the wall for Taiwanese food Plan: We've already dragged friends here, and will continue to invite those who are open to a delicious, authentic, and inexpensive meal

Picture this: crabmeat and crab eggs stewing in a liquid golden egg sauce along with the most tender and juiciest chinese squash. Unique? Yes! Delicious? Yes Yes!Mind blowing and Orgasmic? YES YES OoOohh YES! We were dying for some real Taiwanese food and found this place. What caught my attention wasn't because of the menu, can't read it, but the picture. The picture I saw was very cliche, completely worthy of a millions word. I'm going straight in by describing this really tasty dish that is so unlike any other that I've ever tried before. That first taste of that sauce with the crab, crab eggs, and eggs was magical and really hard to put into words. All I know is fireworks erupted in my mouth, my taste buds sang, and the neurotransmitters between my mouth and brain exploded! I'm not one of those obnoxious people that will tell you to go get this dish right now, immediately, but this time I have to. It'll be irresponsible of me to taste this amazing product and not share it with everyone. I almost forgot to go into the chinese squash. They cooked it so soft that it completely melts in my mouth. It also soaked up the golden sauce really well and so there's multiple mouth explosions going on in one dish. Enough talk about one dish, we also got food from the lunch special that comes with rice: -Taiwanese smoked duck 5 Stars! (so smoky it makes me mad Southern places claim to have smoked meats but it does not even come close to this.)-eggplant in garlic sauce 4 Stars. If you like eggplant, you can't go wrong with this item. Tip- We phoned in the order but it'll be tough if you don't speak the language, but maybe show a picture or describe to them in English what the dish is? -I wouldn't be brave and pick spontaneous dishes. Stick to what you know and look at pictures for reference -The location is weird, but it's in the building called QUEST Studios. It's a small parking lot but look for signs saying Cafe Parking, the restaurant is just around the corner. There is also street parking thats right in front of the entrance
