We've been coming here for the past 2-3 years and have always ordered the usual tonkotsu ramen because it used to be pretty good, but the last few visits were rather a disappointment.
The staff was great and services were quick, but the tonkotsu broth was rather bland. It lacks the rich and creamy taste of a slow cooked pork bones, and the pork chashu was over cooked.
Not sure if it's under new ownership, but the tonkotsu broth tasted more like a shoyu broth rather than tonkotsu. We're hesitant to return anytime soon unless the tonkotsu broth is improved.

Great food from ramen to curry chasu are great! We also came when the place was packed, laela was the only server there and yet she handled everything magnificently.

Definitely filling. For the price it's well balanced with what i ordered.
But the broth can definitely be worked on a lot more.
Even after adding the chili powder it was still bland and tasted watered down. So definitely can work on improving the taste.

Honestly very nice staff but the food just wasn't that great. The broth isn't rich and doesn't taste like much, a little off and definitely not like long cooked bone broth. Chashu/pork was really chewy you could barely bite into it. The gyoza was really below average. Having lived in Korea and been to Japan several times, it's pretty bad even if those are really high standards, I've had a great bowl of ramen at other places in LA and San Diego. If this place just worked on their flavor a little bit it'd be a really nice restaurant, but especially at 13.95 per bowl it's just not very good. Also, this is subjective I guess but corn and spinach just don't go in a real ramen bowl.

So we stopped at Ramen Zuru for some dinner I had the Tonkatsu Ramen. It was pretty good, but honestly, the flavor just wasn’t all there for me. I ended up ordering extra chashu since they only give you two pieces, and the bowl could have had more noodles imo. The gyoza was kinda disappointing too, didn’t have the flavor or crispiness I was hoping for.
But, gotta say, the customer service was great! The staff were super nice and made the experience better.
Overall, Ramen Zuru has some potential, but the food just didn’t quite hit the spot for me.

V generous chasu and egg esp for this price!! Free drink between 11:30-4:00 any day. Really appreciate how broth wasn’t hyper salty like most places in socal, I drank it all!

The Ramen ? is top notch. Also had fried shrimp ? was great. Cute waitress, super nice. Atmosphere is simple, clean, maybe a little tight. I can't wait to go back.

If you’re expecting true Japanese ramen, avoid this place. They don’t know how to make Japanese ramen.

It's seriously not delicious.. Please don't go. It must be hard to make it taste this bad, but it's amazing.

Small little ramen house.
We walked in a little past 12:30 on a weekday and the place was pretty slow, so we got food pretty fast.
Food was generally good, but…
Tonkatsu Ramen
Broth is my thing… and the broth here didn’t really feel like 18-hour boiled bone soup, and kinda greasy. As toppings, there were 2 chasu pieces, spinach, bean sprouts, eggs (could have been marinated longer), and dry nori. Just OK.
Takoyaki
Octopus balls looked SOO good. Topping looked great and it came out hot and smelling delicious. Unfortunately it was very batter heavy (though the batter was tasty), with very small portions of octopus inside.
Rice w chasu
Definitely tastier chasu than the one in the ramen (sad, since it is, after all, a ramen house). And deliciously seasoned. My favorite dish here.
We made a mess with the water (sorry!) cuz the water container top fell off. Remember to hold on to the lid when pouring water.

This place was amazing at one point.
My wife and I went last month and it was terrible.
They served us water in styrofoam cups and gave us plastic silverware to eat.
Soup was cold and service staff s terrible…
