Popo?! Where? Oh, Tampopo. They're right over there!
Tampopo Restaurant has been a long term tenant at the Artesia City Plaza. I remember dining at the prior occupant (Sushi Samurai, I believe), many years ago. Originally planning to dine at Katsumura, only to find they're not open Mondays, Tampopo became Plan B for some sustenance.

Tampopo ramen & gyoza lunch special-
Priced at $14.95, the Tampopo ramen & gyoza lunch special was a good deal. The broth was thinner than what was expected, and the ramen wasn't al dente (more spaghetti-like) to my preference. However, the bowl of soup had an ample amount of food with three thick slabs of tender pork belly.
The gyoza provided a nice textural contrast to the ramen, and were pleasurable to eat.
Service was good. Seating was readily available and the wait was minimal for food. Parking is at the Artesia City Plaza, which can become quite difficult to find during peak hours. Tampopo is located in-between Bakers & Baristas & Sweetee Thai.
Not ramen quite comparable to a dedicated ramen shop, Tampopo's ramen & gyoza lunch special is still a bargain for a filling meal. Things are expensive now, so I find Tampopo's reasonable pricing & ample quantities and good choice when in search of a meal option in the area.
We ordered a lot of food. Different rolls, salads, Ramen bowl, pork cutlets, fried chicken dish, mixed tempura, teriyaki chicken plate. Everything was fast, fresh and incredibly delicious. We used to drive from Norwalk to Tustin for great sushi. I'm so glad we found this restaurant. It's a small building, can seat 10 or so groups of 2/4 people. Tables are pretty close together. Worth the squeeze 😊

Cozy & good food!
Best restaurant my son love it
This is not the Tampopo I usually go to...I didn't like the fact that the shrimp tempora wasn't a whole shrimp it was pieces of little shrimp that were chewy.
Best sushi ever !!!+
They will charge you an automatic 18% tip if you have a party of 6 or more. Why are the they controlling how much people should tip and what if you don’t like the services. Our water was not served after our food came to the table. Not a good place for big party unless you don’t mind them controlling your money.
The BEST sushi and ramen, I have tried several other spots in LA and this one is the best with great fresh quality and fast, friendly service. The king kong roll and the spicy ramen are a must, 10/10
Excellent fresh food

It ain't worth it. For the price it's like an arm and a leg and at times the price are wrong. Go somewhere else in my opinion.

This is not a sushi restaurant. It's missing a variety of fish to be considered a sushi restaurant. Their crab is all imitation crab meat. IMO, the rolls were overpriced even at 50% off. Why? 90% of their rolls are made of rice, imitation crab, slices of avocado, and eel sauce. You have to eat their rolls with a spoon because you can't eat it with chopsticks because they cut them 1/4 inch thick with 2 inch wide slices, making them all fall apart when picking them up. Who taught them how to make their rolls?!?
Almost finished our salmon roll only to have our server pick up our plate with our uneaten untouched tempura salmon -.-
After 4 rolls, I'm still hungry.

9/30/24 great sushi and chicken
The servers were great, no complain on that because they were very nice! Food though…. Specifically the ramen… worst ramen of my life, smelled and tasted horrible. Paid 120$ for mediocre food.
