After a traumatizing experience in a nearby Dosa restaurant, we were very skeptical to try Bhimas Veg (for which we had a lot of recommendations from our friends) Tried yesterday, it was a breath of fresh air! AUTHENTIC REAL SAMBHAR!! We ordered Gobi Manchurian as a starter and tried Idli Sambhar, ghee masala dosa, gajar (carrot) halwa, madras tea and filter coffee. Each dish was 10/10. The ambiance is okay. it looks like a traditional no-frills Indian restaurant. The food was mediocre. Having been to the Northern CA Tirupathi Bhimas, I expected nothing less if not more. To the restaurant: I highly recommend having a few objective tasters to do a thorough tasting of all your dishes. You really need to step up in dish quality; compare with other south indian restuarants. Also your insistence on tips is weird. I have not seen this elsewhere.
