I have been going to this place for years & always loved their bacon turkey avocado sandwich. Not sure what changed.... maybe management?... but it's just not as good anymore. Now it's just okay.

I absolutely love helping small family businesses, but this time I'll tell ya, they are the ones that helped me. I swear to the almighty that this New Yorker is off the chain. I literally ate too much today. I have no self control when I'm here. I feel like an addict, but I suppose this is a good thing to be addicted to in comparison to most other addictions.Parking: For all us anxiety ridden folks, you do not need to even look up the parking. It's that easy.

This place is classic. It's all about grabbing a good sandwich, at a decent price...family owned. Get something good while supporting a family business.

I've passed by this place for the past two years. I finally checked out their reviews on Yelp and decided to give them a try. Definitely 5 stars as I went two days in a row. The turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich was great I added pickles, pepperchini, vinegar and mustard. No need to go to Subway or Jersy Mikes any more for me. Give them a try if you are looking for a good sandwich shop I doubt you will be disappointed.

I had high hopes for this place because of all the promising reviews, but I'm kind of still hungry. For the price, I expected more. There wasn't much meat in both sandwiches. The amount in the pastrami was particularly disappointing. There was just a lot of mayonnaise in the turkey avocado and mustard in the pastrami. If I came back I would definitely get a large. A small is 6 inches and a large is 10 inches. The decor inside is really random, but service is friendly. There is a $0.75 charge for credit card so bring cash.

A good ol tried & true Artesia Classic! Everyone's got their favorite. Mine? Hoagie hot w bbq sauce. Today I tried the Bacon Beef Cheese today also delicious! But.. back to my original. Always hits!

When you're craving an old-school style hoagie and a real sub sandwich spot, it seems like the usual suspects of mass produced, average sub sandwich shops exist too frequently. Luckily, places like TJ's still exist and are the reason why you should absolutely support non-chain and local businesses. I stumbled across this sub shop while looking and craving for a sandwich spot. Thanks to Yelp I was able to discover it as I regularly visit from out of town. These sandwiches always hit the spot and are made with love. Personally, my favorite is the club sandwich and the cool thing is any of the subs can be made as salads. They have a nice variety of sandwiches as well as chips to pair with your subs. There is plenty of indoor dining and is a fantastic spot for lunch. From every visit I notice there is a steady stream of regulars for lunch and that's fantastic to see. I love finding local spots like this. You can also order ahead if you're on a time crunch, but they do a great job of making your subs in a timely manner whether it's for to go or dining in. Definitely would strongly recommend!

Very nice people, and awesome sandwiches! What else is there really to say? So many good businesses like this got destroyed by the "Fauxdemic", and I'm really glad they are still around.

Move over Jersey Mike and Subway! I always pass by in this area and sad to admit that I'm not familiar with this old school TJ's submarines.I ordered Avocado Turkey sub,it was stuffed with avocado, lettuce and tomato .The taste was much more better than Subway and Jersey Mike. I going back to this place.

We were craving for sandwiches and decided to try this place as they had some unique items we have not seen before. When we received the sandwiches we were disappointed on the quality of the overall sandwiches. The first thing I noticed was how little servings they gave for the inside of the sandwich. There was not enough meat and very little vegetables as in tomatoes and lettuce given in each of our sandwiches. As for the bread it was not that soft it was a bit on the chewy side which made it hard to finish and chew. I suggest to ask for extra toppings to help you get full to get your money's worth. Some of the meat slices are on the thinner side and you can barely taste them which unfortunately left us still feeling hungry and wasted about 30 dollars worth of food. You can customize any sandwich but they charge the same even if you take out plenty of the toppings. They do not have any pictures on the types of sandwiches they have so you might want to ask what they are to make sure you are ordering the correct item. They do not include a description of what the sandwich is it only tells you if it is a warm or cold sandwich. They also have salad bowls and soup of the day as part of the menu. The interior of the restaurant is still the same from years back and have not changed much. This is the only sandwich shop I have been to where the soda fountains are behind the counter and you have to ask them every time you need a soda refill.
