The Butter Masala Dosa is my go to here. It features nice Ghee flavor with the curry potatoes. The butter makes the dosa extra crispy. The Chai is average.

Sambar, worth dying for. Loved coffee, rasam, rava dosas ...Avoid Vadas. Otherwise amazing place. Strongly recommend.

Its a vegetarian restaurant.I tried different dosas here. Cheese dosa is good. Chutney is a little spicy for kids. They serve only white chutney. Rava dosa wasn't great. Good option if you are traveling from another city and craving South Indian. But not a to go place forever.

Nothing is made fresh except Dosa. Everything is kept frozen. Beaware of the employe named "Santosh" who works here - he will keep on asking for tips forcefully and insist on paying CASH only. Instead of providing good service, people are concernd about tips only. Ridiculous. I hope the owner is aware of this. Also this is a pure vegetarian restaurant.

Food was great. Service of the females was awesome. MALES ACTING BOSSY.. THEY NEED TO BE REMINDED NOT TO JUDGE AND SERVE WITH SMILE WITH ALL..Now let me add went there yesterday and asked for a masala dosa and on side gun powder. Now he suggests take butter gun powder and only to find that it was all gun powder inside dosa and $17.99... I was not at all impressed. So suggestion don't get too much into their ideas they want to sell the most expensive dosa and with too much gun powder it didn't taste good... and this is one of the bossy person who roams around with taking orders.

3.5. The masala dosa was good. It was flavorful and we enjoyed the potato filling, but it only came with a sad plastic cup of coconut chutney and a bowl of sambar. I would have liked tomato chutney also. The chai was terrible. It had zero flavor. Do not order. Please add cardamom, ginger, …anything to give it some flavor!

I recently visited Udupi restaurant in Artesia and wanted to share my experience. Overall, I would rate it 3 stars.Firstly, I must commend the restaurant for their delicious Chole bhature. The combination of spicy chickpea curry and fluffy bhature bread was simply mouth-watering. The flavors were authentic and reminded me of the street-side stalls in India. The portion size was generous, and it was definitely the highlight of my meal.On the other hand, I found the average/dry paper dosa to be disappointing. The dosa lacked the crispy texture that I expected, and it seemed like it had been sitting out for too long. The flavor was also quite bland. I believe they could significantly improve this dish by making it fresher and more flavorful. When it came to the kids dosa, it was decent but nothing extraordinary. The dosa itself was thin and crispy, appealing to children who prefer a lighter taste. However, I was expecting it to be served with some sort of accompaniment or filling to make it more exciting for the kids. It felt a bit plain and lacking in that aspect. In terms of service, the staff was friendly and attentive. They took our orders promptly and were helpful in explaining the menu. The ambiance of the restaurant was clean and comfortable, making it a pleasant place to dine.Overall, my experience at Udupi restaurant in Artesia was a mix of positives and negatives. While their Chole bhature was outstanding, the average/dry paper dosa and kids dosa did not live up to my expectations. I would recommend this place if you're specifically looking for great Chole bhature, but for other South Indian dishes, there might be better options available in the area.
