My brother and I backtracked our drive home to eat here...first time. The food was Amazing and our server, Celia, was Awesome! I enjoyed the food so much that I bought my husband a Chile Verde burrito for a four hour drive home...it's humongous. We'll definitely stop there again on our travels in the area.
Exhausted from bad weather over the grapevine on Interstate 5 in California, we were thrilled to find Don Perico Mexican Restaurant. Casual, cozy, warm and welcoming staff. There was only a family of parents with a young child in the restaurant with us, and they were comfortable as well. Great food, good portions, good cocktails and reasonable prices. I recommend u stop there before or after traveling The Grapevine.
I was booked at a hotel next door, was very hungry from a day of driving and took my chances to order takeout. I'm so glad I did. My combo' was a Cheese Enchilada, Pork Tamale, Rice & Beans. The sauce for the Enchilada was yummy, not sweet or gloppy. The Tamale was hot with green chile inside that I didn't expect and the green chile sauce was delicious. Very rarely do I bother with the rice in Mexican restaurants but the Spanish Rice was delicious. They also have Mexican sodas, so I enjoyed a genuine, cane sugar Coca Cola. I'll eat here again.
I’m pretty sure they gave me something that was spoiled. The food was horrible horrible. Me & all my siblings give it a 0!!!?????
Waited 30 mins, no menu no food,
Great wait staff, good bartender, favorite place to eat...ever! Enjoy the views, easy access from I5,
It might not be fair giving only 1 star, do to the fact we didn't eat there. (We didn't have all night). The one person at work didn't seem to interrested, and the food looked like it may have been sitting for a while. Looks can be decieving. We opted elsewhere.
Food was flavorful! Service however needs LOTS of improvement. There was only one person taking orders and preparing the food for both the bar and restaurant. Also, I have never seen someone warming up chips in the microwave
I'm sorry but the restaurant felt like it's going out of business we walk in at 5pm and they where out of carne asada. That's the main ingredient in mexican food!!!!! They didnt have sour cream or guacamole!!!
I enjoyed my Chile Verde burrito, but my husband wasn't as impressed with his Chile Verde fries. They don't have guacamole. The guy employee who was working the bar was friendly, but the lady working the good area was so unwelcoming. She didn't say hi, mumbled when asking questions, never smiled, and was just off putting. The margarita was average. I would probably go again if i was in town and I the area or i might try the tequila bar a bit further north.
Restaurantji Recommends
Do not eat here!, the food was horrible, the meat taste like tuna and the food isn't made freshly,If I could put 0 stars I would have done that.
I was a little unsure because the entrance to the restaurant looked in need of repair. But I was staying just up the street and love Mexican food sooo... I got the triple enchiladas with rice and beans and sliced avocado extra. They also send you off with containers of sour cream and salsa and chips. The waitress who took my order was so nice and they had it ready my pronto! It’s a big place with big bar and very dated but the food was very good and the service friendly and quick.
Food and service was excellent...
Great drinks, very generous. The chicken tacos were the bomb
Very good food, customer service excellent!
