Everytime I visit this spot, it's an awesome experience! Fabulous food, even better staff, and a laid-back, romantic atmosphere that feels fancy without the pressure.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Also, a piece of advice: Try the dishes the way the chefs intended. They do things for a reason!

This place is excelling in all areas - a must visit!

We walked in here on a Friday night with no reservations and 4 people. They accommodated us at the bar and assured us we could order the full menu.

We were immediately greeted by the bartender and offered waters. She took our drink order, and even made a custom cherry limeade mocktail for a young person in our party.

We browsed the menu and placed our orders. Someone who appeared to be a manager (or in management) joined the two ladies behind the bar and made sure that everyone was taken care of. The manager were present but not invasive, attentive but not annoying - so it was perfect!

We started the evening with an amuse-bouche that was perfectly executed. My mocktail was fantastic.

I opted to have a salad and a starter since I wasn't super hungry. Both were beautifully plated and served at the exact temperature.

We were too full to order dessert, but we were offered chocolates from the house. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 THIS is how dining should be.

The vibe inside was cozy and cool, but not trying too hard. I just really enjoyed our meal, our service and the whole experience. So much so that we're planning another trip back to Atascadero, MAINLY just to dine here.

I will make reservations next time though!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Experienced traveler here, Barley and Boar has top tier elevated food and cocktails. The vibe is something akin to the big names of Napa, Los Olivos and Santa Barbara. I don’t eat a lot of meat and find the vegetarian options to be really well done. If you’re casual go for a seat at the bar, if you’re into something special go for a seat at the chef’s counter. 🙏

Really great. Really friendly staff. Quinn at the bar was very sweet and helped recommend dishes and drinks. Didn’t sit at the kitchen counter, but it looked like great place to dine as well.

Yummm. I will definitely be a regular! The pork chop!!! Worth it! The braziano app was my favorite! Loved the look of the place. Great date night.

We went and the service was good. The food was way overpriced for what you get. We had brisket which was greater than 30$ and was small and over cooked.

Brisket plate not hot, tough. Replacement brisket plate was hot but very fatty. Unfortunately it was a disappointment.

This place is beyond belief.
The menu may be a little small but the food is incredible, and no matter what you order the dish is fantastic. A big thanks to Daniel for the amazing service

I've never seen an open kitchen concept before. The chef closest to us was Leo and he was so amazingly friendly in explaining everything he was cooking and chatting about his methods. I enjoy cooking at home so this really blew me away

I cannot in food faith recommend you come here in any fashion. I'm sorry but my experience was so sub par I feel the need to warn others. The food is okay but they charge prices like it is artisanal which, I'm sorry, it isn't. Now don't get me wrong the staff was good and helpful and courteous but the food is not worth the prices they charge you. Also above and beyond that when they gave us our receipt and we tapped our credit card their system tried to overcharge us by over $100 dollars. We had to point out that was wrong and they took three times to get the receipt to what it was supposed to be. Also I'm sorry they charge a service fee above and beyond the tip and taxes. I do not appreciate places that are extra fees above the market standard. Was the food okay, yes. Was it gourmet like they were charging us? NO!
