Chef Gregory's BBQ Emporium

We've enjoyed the pork sandwich and thought the chicken was over priced.
Tonight (sat. night) we showed up at 4:30, which is when it says they're open and they said they weren't opening until 5:30.....
We've tried to patronize the place but it's doubtful if we'll be back

Food was kind of cold, no half or whole chicken as well as pork belly and smoke outside.

We came in based on Scott Pierce's Facebook post, and what a great recommendation! We had the baby back ribs plate as well as the tri-tip plate and omg, it's the best bbq we've ever had. Chef Guy uses Prime grade tri-tip (not Choice like you get in the grocery store) and it totally melts in your mouth. Plus the seasonings he uses are incredible! The ribs were succulent and tasty, the beans were spectacular and I loved the simplicity of the finely grated coleslaw. Don't miss it...we've sampled bbq all over the US and honestly, it was the best we've had!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chef Gregory’s BBQ Emporium in Atascadero, and I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. As someone who’s always dreamed of trying new places around town, this visit felt extra special—and it definitely didn’t disappoint.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The interior was clean and stylish, creating the perfect vibe for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. The staff greeted me with a smile and provided excellent service throughout, staying attentive without being overbearing.

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of smokiness and seasoning. It was served on a fresh, soft bun that held everything together perfectly. Each bite was packed with flavor, and the portion size was generous without being overwhelming.

Exploring new restaurants in Atascadero has always been something I looked forward to, and Chef Gregory’s BBQ Emporium reminded me exactly why. Whether you’re grabbing a bite for lunch or enjoying a nice dinner out, I’d highly recommend this place. It offers great food, a welcoming environment, and service that makes you feel like a valued guest. I’ll definitely be back.

The baby back ribs were amazing!

Really good stuff here. The seasoning that's dusted on at the end, has a flavor unique to Chef Gregory's. Definitely worth trying.

Food was really great, better than your typical casual bbq joint. We’ll be back!

Also- get the brown butter cake if it’s available. Take it home and pop it oven for 10 min, it’s simple, but it’s next level delicious.

I don't even like pork like that but this was the absolute bombbb!! I would definitely get again!

Stopped in for my first time this evening and put together a little sampler. The storefront is a little spars with minimal seating inside and out. My order including 4 oz of Ribs, a 7 oz Chicken Breast, 4 oz of Pork Belly, and a couple of pieces of corn bread. All of the plates came with Beans and Cole Slaw (which I didn't take as I'm generally not a fan of Slaw)
Over all the food was good to very good. I thought the ribs were a little dry but had great flavor. The chicken breast was outstanding, moist and flavorful. The Pork Belly was delicious and almost like candy. I thought the bean were great, full of ham and flavor and the corn bread was more the consistency of cake but also delicious!
In All, I have to concur with Chef Gregory the food is definitely 5 star! I'll be back.

This order-at-the-counter bbq stop was AMAZING! A few counter seats - my family was happy at the outdoor picnic table. We had no idea this gem was in Atascadero. We will definitely be back soon!

Finally tried it! It was so yummy. Meat is tender and sauce is great! We had ribs and the pork sando. We inhaled both. Basic menu but that’s all you need. Sides were good but I’m a tangy slaw gal so I threw in a splash of red wine vinegar and it was yummy. I’d go back in a second.
