Colony Mash Brewing Co.

Fantastic small brewery and taproom. They do beer and Seltzers, and they do them well. I tried several beers while there and ended up taking home both 4 packs of their IPAs. I really enjoyed the IPA with Honey. The brewmaster/owner was there serving beer and gave us some great insight on his process.

Definitely worth the stop.

$5 per beer for take out beer in Atascadero?? Wow! The beer is good and I love supporting local businesses, but $20 for 4 pints of beer? It's water, hops, barley and yeast. I'm guessing fermentation takes place in gold lined tanks?

We happened across CMB while looking for new beer spots to try and so glad we did! Eric the Owner/Brewmaster made us feel instantly welcome and the visit great. So what would have just been a fun afternoon talking about sports and beer making, became exceptional when we started trying the awesome beers and seltzers. I have to say two of the three beers we shared (red ale & milk stout) were very good but the Stone Cold Steve Owlstin was phenomenal! My wife liked the cherry limeade seltzer so much, we brought two six-packs home. This place is going to have to be a regular stop for us.

This is the best beer, brewed and sold by the most amazing human you will ever meet. Erik is so good at what he does, he will make you change whatever you think your favorite beer is. Do yourself and your taste buds a favor and go visit Coclony Mash Brew next time you have a chance.

This is a small brewery. There is limited seating inside but they do have more seating and tables outside. I usually drink beer but here I was curious about the seltzers and they were all good. My favorite was the purple reign. The melon one actually tasted like melon and cherry limeade was also good. Had a little sip of the Kolsch and I would recommend that also. Staff was very friendly and always made sure we had a drink.

Great beer for great prices. I tried their West Coast IPA and Hazy, my wife tried the Loral Blanc. All three beat our expectations. I would recommend this brewery to anyone, the atmosphere was much more relaxed than the ones you will find at other breweries in the area which was a huge plus for me. The brew master that helped us was very friendly and gave great recommendations. We will be back, and I definitely would recommend this hidden gem!
