Eat here every time we pass through. Last time had the Hawaiian pork tacos and fries- excellent. Staff is helpful and friendly. Where else can you eat under a framed set of Spock ears?

Took my dad here for Father’s Day. He ordered a cheeseburger w fries. I ordered the macaroni cheeseburger w cheese curds, my wife ordered the club sandwich w onion rings. All of the meals were top notch. Food was exactly as ordered and actually arrived hot ? to the table. My wife liked her sandwich so much she said it tasted better than Mr.. Pickles.

We were greeted by a friendly lady upon arrival w a cheerful smile and personality. She gave us impeccable service.

We chose to dine inside however, there is seating outside as well. Should you need to maneuver a wheelchair or walker around inside there is room to do so.

Plenty of wonderful options on the menu whether you are a picky eater, child or vegetarian. A plethora of parking is available right out front. Definitely a place we will go back to.

Best burgers in the area, super friendly staff. Very happy we picked this spot for lunch on our way through.

Went tonight for the first time, super good. Prices look expensive but they are so big you really get two meals out of it if you are a normal person. Owners were very kind, food was fast, hot and absolutely delicious. I asked for BBQ sauce for my triple pig when it came out because usually pulled pork is a little dry at restaurants but after i actually started eating i didn’t use the sauce as i thought it was a disservice to how moist and flavorful the pork was. Will definitely be back!

It was pricey but when my burger came out, oh man it was beautiful. Bacon extra cheese grilled onions burger. Made my taste buds burst. Our waitress was really kind and our chef was awesome. Both where wonderful people. Meal was worth it.

5/16/24 I recently started going to Dan's Grub Shack for lunch roughly once a week. I is a great get-away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Atascadero, being a very relaxed, All-American eatery (i.e. burger place) that I used to enjoy in my tiny hometown on the Oregon Coast in the 1970's during high school. I love Dan's regular old burger, a side salad and an iced tea. If available, there are two tables along the sidewalk that are a relaxing place to eat. And the service is excellent, very pleasant and attentive to meeting your needs. Forget all of the fancy-food restaurants in town and go to Dan's for a good meal. That's what it is all about in today's crazy and hectic world. Be sure to say Hello to Dan and thank him for some good food and friendship.

This place is really good - it fools you into thinking it's a dive but the food is actually super high quality. Big portions too, generally enough for leftovers the next day. Great stuff!
