Out of the 20+ Mexican restaurants in Atascadero, take my word for it, this is by far the best. The ambience is great, the service is impeccable, the greeting is friendly and warm. But the thing that raises Fuego above all the others is the quality of the food. This is not your usual burrito, rice and beans joint; this is a real restaurant with imaginative, creative, perfectly balanced dishes, cooked with care and love. A little pricier than the other places for sure, but well, well worth it. Do yourselves a favor and try Fuego … then rave about it to all your friends; I’m sure you will!

I ordered their queso fundido with chorizo and roasted poblano, and it was next-level delicious. The cheese was perfectly melted, rich and bubbly, topped generously with well-seasoned chorizo and roasted chile strips that gave it the perfect kick. It came with warm, soft flour tortillas that made each bite feel like a hug.
The chicharrón en guacamole was another standout – crispy pork belly served over a bold guacamole that balances the richness of the meat beautifully. Best restaurant in Atascadero!!! The food is amazing and service is great. Small and peaceful atmosphere. My boyfriend and I come here and get the lobster Mac n cheese and quesabirria tacos every time. We are just so obsessed! Next time, we will explore more of the menu. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Excellent Mexican fare with some interesting variations. Guacamole was flavorful and the chips were crisp and tasty. We both had variations of the mole which was rich with a subtle bite. Hostess was welcoming and attentive. I cannot believe it will stay quiet. Thoroughly recommended.

Always have wanted to try this restaurant and tonight I finally got the chance. Ordered the seafood boil for pick-up. Large portions, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and did I mention the food was amazing!? Definitely will be back and will recommend to friends and family to try it out!
