We stopped here while driving by, hungry for a late breakfast. We enjoyed our hot coffee very much while sitting outside on clean good furniture. I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon and grilled potatoes, my husband had the pork chops and eggs. So delicious! And portions were a good size.The restroom/toilet was very clean too.

Chili Verde breakfast burrito is a must try! We switch back and forth between that and the sausage breakfast burrito. We order it with beans and hash browns. Great service also!

Back when this place was AJs they had hands down best breakfast burrito. Perfectly crunchy soft browned home fries with onion, bell pepper, mushroom, lots of meat, moist egg. Da bomb!Now it’s just parboiled potatoes, not even soft, no brown just boiled. Gone are the other veggies. So ho-hum scrambled eggs and some meat and cheese. And the salsa has gone from the fresh ingredients spicy to that hot sauce stuff, just throw some dried peppers and water in a blender.

Out of the myriad of Mexican Restaurants to choose from, you're missing out if you don't give Malu's a try. So good, I always end up eating too much. Indoor seating is limited, so consider going on a sunny day for the patio, or taking it to go.
We stopped here before heading to Big Sur and it was a good choice. We are stubborn Southern California kids who grew up on Mexican food so we are particular. Ordered the beans, cheese and rice burrito. Why? It's the way to know if a place is real. Yes they use lard and that is exactly what I want. The burrito was tasty and the ratio of rice to bean was great. The amount of cheese was very good as well. You want them all the mix perfectly and they did. We also ordered the beef hard shell taco, delicious and classic. May be a little more cheese on top. We also ordered the Al Pastor & Chicken soft taco. The chicken taco was good & the meat was tender. The Al Pastor was brilliant. Very tender and the flavors were lovely. When we visit Morro Bay again we will be coming here & you should too!

Had the amazing Torta Cubana with chips and salsa!! The torta had steak, chorizo,ham, sausage,egg avocado, mozzarella cheese, grilled onions, jalapenos, and a wonderful house sauce. Very filling and delicious combination of ingredients. The chips were thin and crispy, and the authentic salsa was so fabulous that we had to have more. Felt very well attended too. Would highly recommend!!Parking: Plenty of parking available and great outdoor seating available!
