My experience in this place was very bad since the person who was serving had a bad character, but I still ordered my food and for me it was a bad experience since my food was to go and when I started eating it, it had a bad seasoning and I don't know how many days ago they had prepared it because it was not in good condition. I don't know if I should now consult my doctor about this food. And besides, it was very expensive.
The food is very good and the girl, I don't know her name but overall, the store is excellent!

It's currently 10:42 on a Tuesday night, the hours posted online are 8am to 12 am Monday through Friday. The hours posted on the windows in huge lettering is 8am to 12 am everyday. We tried going in at 10:42 and the woman said they were closed. When asked why since they were open till midnight she said they close at 11pm.... Yes I know it's not even 11 yet, but we aren't going to argue with people preparing our food. So just be aware... Hours may have changed or they didn't want to work any more. Either way....

This place is horrible very expensive and greasy . We bought tacos there and they were gard as a rock the inside chicken meat very chewy and gross. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS. I spent over $25 on crap food I will never go back I suggest you avoid this place .

I see this place has bad reviews but we had a good experience. We ordered for pickup via door dash. We got food for 5 people. It wasn't quite ready when we arrived to pick it up, but that gave us time to get salsa from the salsa bar. Anyplace that has a salsa bar that's not restrictive with containers gets extra points in my book. I did order an additional 8 oz. container of salsa because I like a lot of salsa and I think it's wrong to just take a bunch of salsa. The food was good and I would go back.
So far everything I've tried has been great. I wish the boss would bring back the cabbage though ?.

This place reminded me of El Grullense in Los Banos. When I lived in LB that was my goto spot. Ive been living here in Atwater and never noticed Maria's , which is amazing since Ive lived here for 7 years. Im definitely glad I found this place. My fav is menudo and Maria's has it just the way I like it, in a 32oz cup. I also got some mini tacos as well. They also have covered outside eating. This will now be my goto spot. Im looking forward to winter, so I can swing by and pick up some menudo for work. This place is definitely worth 5 stars.Parking: Alot of parking + disabled parking.
