stopped here when passing through auburn and it was incredible! the service is so friendly and it seems like everyone else who came in was a regular. chips and salsa were 11/10 and same for the veggie burrito. we will definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Usual boring stop on way to Tahoe just got electrified. This place floored me. Get the carnitas burrito, puts up heavy numbers against any Sf spot(el faralito, la taqueria). With free salsa and warm chips that taste like heaven, and the cooks and cashiers all smiling and excited to see you take your first bite, this place is no road side show. It is an institution. Make the 2 second drive off the freeway to come here if you are near or far, Jalisco has gained a new customer for years to come. They couldn't see me take my first bite, but if they could, all they would have seen is more than a couple dance moves. Stuff will make you do a jig. See you soon Jalisco, core memory unlocked. Pastor and Steak are in the on deck circle for our drive back to the Bay Area!

Stopped by on our way to Lake Tahoe. Great Mexican food, pretty authentic, which authentic was fresh on my mind, since we had just visited Jalisco 2 months ago. Of course nothing compares to the food over there, but this was a pleasant surprise and as good as you can ask for here in the states. The service was great too and the guy at the register was super friendly & chill, good people. Great stop for quality authentic Mexican food. We had the happy hour special, beer with 2 tacos & the carne asada fries & bistec. All bomb.

Everytime I drive i-80 I stop here to get my Shrimp Quesadilla. The salsa is great, the wait time competes with and is at times even lower than nearby fastfood, staff are cool, and food is awesome.

I got three tacos for dinner today dude they were awesome. They were plenty of meat in each one. And you can’t go wrong with the deep fried jalapeños! I have to give a shout out to the two guys working behind the counter. They are kind of awesome!

This is what I’m always looking for in a taqueria. Authentic Mexican food, vegan beans and rice, excellent fresh guacamole and a salsa bar! Beer and chips too. The guy behind the counter is a sweetheart. Chill, conscientious and proud to offer great food. I can only eat 1/2 of this monster burrito!
Decent prices, friendly staff and great food. This is now my go to spot when I'm in Auburn.

The food was really good. All their beans and rice are vegan. Can order food without cheese, meat and sour cream. Guacamole was really good. Taco salad without the taco shell was really fresh. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely eat there again. Bonus: close to the HWY!!!
Passing through town and found this little spot. Big burritos and good flavor. Friendly staff. When we got there it was close to closing time and the young man was chill about it. Family owned.
I found this place shortly after moving up here in 2021. It is now 2025. They are still super consistent. My wife likes to get the super burrito with grilled chicken and avocado or guacamole or whatever it is... I usually get a super burrito with al pastor or carne asada. Tonight I was in the mood for something different. I talked to my buddy at the register and he said he thought I should try their Thai chicken burrito for the first time. This is not something I would normally pick but it was recommended and it was amazing! So much so, that I called him to let him know how good it was! I decided to also come on here and update my review!
I should also mention that there are usually the same two people working the register. It's either a young man or a young lady and they are both the sweetest, most welcoming, hosts that a restaurant could ask for. The gentleman working in the kitchen are super kind and friendly, as well. This place DEFINITELY delivers exactly what you would want from a good Mexican spot. And apparently, they can make a hell of a Thai chicken burrito, too!! 😂
Thank you guys, for the last several years of great food. I wish we could eat there more often!
