“We moved to Colfax in December of 2023 and I have been wanting to try this place. Today is the 2nd time I ordered food via DoorDash. The first time I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and this time I ordered the Chicken Makhani. Both times I ordered the plain naan and the garlic naan. I have not had a lot of Indian food in the past, but this was 10/10 delicious!!!! So much better than I expected. Even the plain rice was so good! It arrived hot, and so fresh. I will be a regular customer now.”

Are you dense, you've been here right you expect a driver to wait the 15 minutes in line, 5 minutes at the grill not to mention the drive time gas and messy hands and you'd tip what like 3 dollars like every other cheapskate in this town. 3 dollar tips comes out to about 12 dollars an hour btw so if you tipped the same amount on here you'd make about 7 dollars in an hour. It just wouldn't work unless you wanted to spend 40$”

“We hosted our son and future daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner at Auburn Alehouse, and it was absolutely phenomenal. We feel so blessed that this special evening took place there. Lisa Ford, the co-owner, went above and beyond in every possible way. She designed a menu within our budget, created a customized bar menu, and she and her amazing team decorated, cooked, served, and made the patio feel warm, beautiful, and welcoming. They truly handled everything with such care and excellence. We were able to play our own customized Spotify playlist on the back patio for a fun Yacht Rock Friday night feeling, and their IT/AV support, Randy, helped us play a personalized video of the couple on the patio TV throughout the evening. It made the night feel even more personal and special. The food was truly the chef’s kiss, the beer by Brian Ford, co-owner and brewmaster, was incredible, and the service was outstanding. Trista and the wait staff were fun, attentive, and made our guests feel so well taken care of. One of the best parts of the evening was seeing our son and daughter-in-love so happy and surrounded by incredible family and friends who enjoyed honoring and celebrating them. Our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were. Auburn Alehouse is family-owned, community-forward, and an incredible craft brewpub. It is a wonderful place for private events, date nights, gatherings, celebrations, or simply a great meal with great beer. If you are in Auburn, driving from Reno to the Bay Area, or heading up the mountain, stop here. They are also a fantastic choice for private events and can work with your budget. They even host private events at their Annex across the street. We are so grateful we chose Auburn Alehouse for such an important family celebration. Highly recommend! I loved it because it's in the back separate from public with plenty of tables and chairs, a HUGE TV, and even a private arcade area! The staff was absolutely incredible and attentive! “My Tuesday men's group, mostly seniors, played The Ridge yesterday and had a good round. It would have been a great round; however, it's still soggy from the December rains, like all local courses. The cart path only conditions slowed play to about a 5 hour round which is understandable. The course was in very good shape for the damp conditions. The green's were very fast which made things interesting, but fun. a few of our uphill putts went past the hole, stopped, then roll back toward or past the hole.”

They were all amazing, a friend of ours suggested adding sausage to the mushroom pizza, will def try that next time! We went on a Friday night, there was a line out the door. The hostess took our name and said it would be about 25 minute wait, but it was only 15. Mike, our server, was very friendly and took great care of us, making sure that our 2 year grandson that was with us was well taken care of. Glasses never went empty before another beer was offered, and the food came out quickly. Highly recommended!”

I do understand what people mean when they comment upon the Brewster Burger being just a standard burger and nothing special. It's good, but plain. The Way Out West burger meets that criterial of special. Sooooo good. We order Western or BBQ burgers to try them everywhere we go, and we gotta say this one is the best EVER. I thought I would never order anything different, but ordered the Bacon Avo Blue, and wow. Just WOW!!! That's my new go-to. If my stomach could still take it, I'd try the Fire Alarm burger or the Holy Guacamole. I'm guessing those are fabulous. Southwest BBQ salad is good too, for healthy days. And huge. Is enough for two, and different than salads elsewhere.”

“PSs…can I tell you a secret? If you’re local or been an area for a while, you’ve heard of this place. And most likely you’ve been to this place. And you know how good it is! But for those that don’t know and haven’t been… This is good! Now this is like an old school Taco Bell. However, what makes it great and worth the visit is that it is exceptionally fresh, fast doesn’t break the bank. It does get crowded… Because it does have a reputation and a very good one for a very good reason. So if you’re traveling through the area, I need some good economical food. That tastes amazing and is fresh, this is what I would recommend. But don’t take my word for it.”

“This place was so lovely and inviting. The food was mouthwatering good. The service excellent. The atmosphere serene and relaxing. From the second you step into Ai Bao you feel right at home like walking into a friend’s home from the lovely plants to the calming decor. The menu is easy to read and concise. Our server was great and happily answered all of our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. We were able to adjust the sweetness of our drinks which were made to perfection. The wide array of sauces was a nice touch. The spicy wonton noodle soup was great. The dumplings and bbq pork bao were delicious. Everything was very reasonably priced for the amount of food you are served. Very pleased to stumble upon this gem in Auburn. Can’t wait to tell my friends and return to try more items off the menu.”
