Really, really good sandwiches!! I've been traveling to Auburn for work and this place consistently delivers amazing sandwiches. I'm on my way to trying everything on the menu. The half sandwiches are on the small side. Wish there was a full sandwich, soup, drink combo! If you're going with a group, I'd say to get full size sandwiches and swap with someone. Can't go wrong with any of the choices.
I go to Max's almost every week. I first wanted to go thru the menu and try everything. I haven't finished the menu solely because I keep going back for more. I have 3 more sandwiches to try before moving to the soups and salads. They never disappoint. I usually order online due to a short lunch, however, some mornings I forget to place my order. They are so efficient, the wait time isn't long.

Quick service - sandwich ready in 5 min. (And that was at the height of the lunch hour).potato chips included. That's a plus. The place is clean and comfortable.Vegetarian options: Just a couple but excellent, especially the Berkeley sandwich. Need to have an all-vegetable soup.
