My husband gets the rat trap sandwhich with extra of their sauce, and I get the turkey on french with mix cheeses.I don't know how long they've been doing soup, but we got the brocolli and cheese, that too was really good.Not to mention they have a big assortment of cheeses and meats for sale.”

“We wanted to do a Sunday wine tasting and chose this winery. We found the experience to be fun and relaxing. The owner, Dave, was the server. My husband had a great time talking to him about the vineyard, wine process, etc. We had planned to go to other wineries, but instead we spent two hours on the patio sipping wine and talking. The wines were very good. Only one other couple came while we were there. I think this should be on everyone's "go to" places. We are certainly going to return!”

It's hard to describe this place without using very positive flowery words. Everything they have is great, produce, mind-boggling array at the deli counter, indoor and outdoor seating, a wide array of craft sodas… The worst thing about this place is trying to decide what you want to eat!”

“With a doubt the best wood fired pizza in the area. If you have never had a wood fired pizza you have to try it, it's a game changer! Just don't be like the lady that wanted a refund because it was "burned", it's supposed to have charred parts, that's what sets it apart from "oven" pizzas and adds to the flavor. Staff is friendly and helpful, old town Newcastle charm at its best.”

“My third or fourth visit to Hawks. I've never been disappointed, and tonight was a memorable experience. Party of four for early dinner. The mushroom soup amuse bouche was wonderful. White Fog Farm lettuce salad was (reportedly) excellent. The Caesar salad was tasty but the creamy dressing revealed it as an imitation Caesar (in my opinion); the saving grace was the white anchovy on top. (I am a Caesar salad purist and I am frequently unimpressed; woe is me.). Entrées: Duck--excellent! Short ribs--excellent! Steelhead--excellent! Lamb loin--excellent and more! Wine: Fair--a Tuscan red, good but overpriced for the quality. Dessert: We have had the "beignets" before--these are tasty enough but they are NOT in any sense beignets--just sugary doughnut holes with caramel sauce on the side. What they called an entremet might, in a pinch, be considered a "deconstructed" entremet--but an entremet it was not. The parts were, however, very good, if little more than a small mound of fond chocolate with cocoa nibs and a bit of white filling. We were very pleased with the unexpected serving of two extra dessert items, quartets of little chocolate dollops on shortbread and Sangria-infused gel cubes--very playful and delightful. Decent late-bottled vintage port and good tea and coffee. The service was spot on--absolutely top-notch. We were VERY pleased with service and atmosphere. Despite the scattered culinary contradictions, I say : Go to Hawks--time well spent.”

“Always extremely busy, clean surroundings and bathrooms. Large variety menu drinks and food and ?. Parking kinda tight. We got 2 medium shakes cost over 27.00 . That was shocking ?. If your having a full meal with drinks and you have family plan on over 50.00.Parking: Small but in shopping center so could park away and walk to.”

Only truly mediocre option was the salmon, I would avoid that since it seems to always be on the overcooked spectrum.Service? Fantastic, waiters would ask managers promptly if they didn't know answers(one table member had bad egg sensitivity/allergy)”

“Food was okay. I've eaten here a few times and the prices have gone up a lot! Our bill was $50 (with tip) for two meals and two soda drinks. We ordered a stack of pancakes and a French dip! Will not be eating here again just because of the steep prices for what we ordered.”

“Only giving one star on atmosphere because it was the most ridiculously hot, uncomfortable, miserable dining experience we have ever had. Not sure if no AC is their thing or what, but they clearly had power when we dined there. We couldn’t enjoy our meal due to how suffocatingly hot the dining room was.That aside, the food was absolutely wonderful. But we are hesitant to return since our dining experience was truly the most uncomfortable one either of us has ever experienced. We just wanted to eat and leave as quickly as possible. But maybe that’s the point?Parking: You may have to walk a bit. Parking lot is plentiful, but close-up parking isn’t typical.”

Only issue was that when you order garlic naan, you get only o e piece, where every other place serving naan will give minimum two. But it was delicious! Will be coming back for the butter chicken guaranteed.”

“Used to go to Awful Annie's in Lincoln. Haven't been to the Auburn location so we decided to go for breakfast. The food was the same (other than my toast coming out a little over toasted) but the service was not as good as we expected. My wife asked for extra olives in her Bloody Mary and didn't get them. I know but we've been spoiled by the great service in the Lincoln branch. We'll be back...UPDATE Went back, and had great service and great food! Yeah!”

I really enjoyed their beef & lamb lavish wrap and hummus; though, their traditional baklava was a little too sweet, I liked their chocolate baklava - it was a fun new take on baklava. Next time I'm here, I'm trying the Greek dip - love to try something new. Definitely, one of the best Mediterranean places to eat around the Galleria Mall in Roseville.”
