“We hosted our son and future daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner at Auburn Alehouse, and it was absolutely phenomenal. We feel so blessed that this special evening took place there. Lisa Ford, the co-owner, went above and beyond in every possible way. She designed a menu within our budget, created a customized bar menu, and she and her amazing team decorated, cooked, served, and made the patio feel warm, beautiful, and welcoming. They truly handled everything with such care and excellence. We were able to play our own customized Spotify playlist on the back patio for a fun Yacht Rock Friday night feeling, and their IT/AV support, Randy, helped us play a personalized video of the couple on the patio TV throughout the evening. It made the night feel even more personal and special. The food was truly the chef’s kiss, the beer by Brian Ford, co-owner and brewmaster, was incredible, and the service was outstanding. Trista and the wait staff were fun, attentive, and made our guests feel so well taken care of. One of the best parts of the evening was seeing our son and daughter-in-love so happy and surrounded by incredible family and friends who enjoyed honoring and celebrating them. Our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were. Auburn Alehouse is family-owned, community-forward, and an incredible craft brewpub. It is a wonderful place for private events, date nights, gatherings, celebrations, or simply a great meal with great beer. If you are in Auburn, driving from Reno to the Bay Area, or heading up the mountain, stop here. They are also a fantastic choice for private events and can work with your budget. They even host private events at their Annex across the street. We are so grateful we chose Auburn Alehouse for such an important family celebration. Highly recommend! “My Tuesday men's group, mostly seniors, played The Ridge yesterday and had a good round. It would have been a great round; however, it's still soggy from the December rains, like all local courses. The cart path only conditions slowed play to about a 5 hour round which is understandable. The course was in very good shape for the damp conditions. The green's were very fast which made things interesting, but fun. a few of our uphill putts went past the hole, stopped, then roll back toward or past the hole.“

We ordered a Caprese salad as an appetizer to split 3 ways. EXCELLENT.
The main courses (pictured) were delish. Big fat prawns & scallops. The mushroom ravioli were plump and cooked just perfect with a delicious red sauce. The 3rd entree was linguini & clams. Just as tasty.
Reason for a 4 instead of 5...? Cocktail availability. The drinks are made with Soju instead of conventional alcohol. Good but lacking the usual flavor profile and not as much to choose from. Plus, with the less desirable drinks the cocktail prices were excessive @ $14 each. My Old Fashioned had a good flavor and I would have enjoyed a 2nd but two drinks were more than my entree so I had to decline. All in all it was a very pleasant evening and I have NO complaints on the food or service.“

“I asked AI to build me a day trip itinerary from the Bay Area. Said must include a fantastic bakery. My only regret was not coming here as a first stop. Even though it was late in the day, still had a fantastic turkey sammie, slice of carrot cake and sourdough to go. Not even kidding. Probably the best bread I've ever had in my life!!!! Everyone here is sweet and it's an adorable spot to sit outdoors for a nice lunch.“

“First impression, it was quaint and quiet. The counter girl, Tatyana, (hope I spelled that correctly) the first face of the restaurant, was such a delight! She has impeccable customer service and was considerate in knowing her pos system and gave a mindful charge for my kids’ plain burger request. The male cook was trying to argue she needed to charge more, I don’t find it professional for customers to hear that as he could’ve said something off to the side, or better yet not at all since my kids didn’t even eat much of the burger… yet the restaurant still got paid for 3 specials (2 Swiss mushroom burgers and 1 California burger), two large fries and 4 drinks.

I digress - all in all Tatyana is great, the food was delicious even though a bit greasy, and the atmosphere there was nice along with the cuteness of the town.

I would definitely stop here for a bite again, but only as long as she remains front of the house. Great eats and great service.“

“Best BBQ we have ever had! We travel from Citrus Heights to Auburn just for the food and the friendship! Keep up the good work! Singh smokes his own meat and has his own homemade BBQ sauce. We have tried his chicken and his ribs and they are always A+++ in our books. We always have his macaroni salad as well. You won’t go wrong with anything on his menu. WE would give it more than 5 stars if we could.“

“PSs…can I tell you a secret? If you’re local or been an area for a while, you’ve heard of this place. And most likely you’ve been to this place. And you know how good it is! But for those that don’t know and haven’t been… This is good! Now this is like an old school Taco Bell. However, what makes it great and worth the visit is that it is exceptionally fresh, fast doesn’t break the bank. It does get crowded… Because it does have a reputation and a very good one for a very good reason. So if you’re traveling through the area, I need some good economical food. That tastes amazing and is fresh, this is what I would recommend. But don’t take my word for it.“
