Moving from NYC, I was worried about not being able to find good Chinese food. This place is the best Chinese food I’ve had to date, so excited for it to be local. The staff is warm and kind, and manage food allergies with grace. I’ve been here a few times over the past year, and it’s fresh and delicious every time. Nothing beats Chang Brothers on a rainy day. Highly recommended!

Every time I come in from volunteering next door they are awesome. I come over during the lunch special and the gentleman that serves me always has the best customer service! The food is very good and consistent. I go probably around 3 times a week.

We wanted to like the food. I mean how can you mess up Chinese food? Well, you can. All the food we ordered (6 of us) from the orange chicken to General Taos chicken and the Cashew chicken tasted exactly the same. All very bland. :(

I don't like to leave an unfavorable review when service was so friendly and good but I'm going to echo a few other reviewers here and say if you think this is good Chinese food then I don't believe you have ever eaten good Chinese food. I went a second time to try again and its just oily, clumpy overcooked mess. That said, food was out quick and server was great. Auburn food joints are mostly all top notch but I except this one just based on the cooking.

Hot and sour soup...very good. Wonton soup...very good.Walnut shrimp was to sweet and completely covered the shrimp. The shrimp without the sauce ...where I could find it tasted good. My wife's hot garlic chicken was weird and tangy, was not spicy and no hint of garlic.The chow mein was tasty but it needed some veggie or something. It was only noodles.The fried rice was very good.The service was very good.

The food is fantastic! The portions are generous, and the service is polite and very helpful. I've been looking for even a decent Chinese restaurant in Placer and Nevada County, and Chang Brothers delighted me and my friends with their delicious dishes and large portions. I had a large bowl of hot and sour soup as well as salt and pepper shrimp (with shells). The shrimp was loaded with bell peppers, mild jalapeño slices, and lots of flavor. The hot and sour soup was just right with the savory, peppery, and vinegar flavors well balanced. I tried some of my friend's Mongolian beef and was impressed with that as well. All of the dishes were chock full of fresh ingredients prepared with care and pride. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. Don't miss Chang Brothers in Auburn!

This place gets worse every time I try it. Years ago it was decent food. Today my family and I left full plates on the table, not even worth taking the food home in a box. Gross. Don't waste your money here.

Everything I ordered was amazing but my new favorite is the crispy beef dish! The waitress there is drop dead gorgeous and she’s always running around taking care of everybody, I’ll definitely be back

Sorry but wonton soup was not on point
The staff was extremely polite. Order was pickup so I did not eat there. The serving size is large. But the bad news is the food is bland, and I mean no flavor. It is strange, other reviews also mentioned the same, but I figured they were exaggerating. Turns out it's true. Everyone in the household had different dishes, and all were bland. Cannot recommend.
