Restaurant is generally fine but it's not vegetarian-friendly. The rice has chicken broth, so eventhough they list items on the menu as vegetarian, they are not really vegetarian. It would be great if they kept normal rice or cilantro rice as an option that most other Mexican restaurants do.

Do not let the good reviews fool you. Long drive from Oregon we decide to grab a bite to eat. Family of 4. We were greeted with an obvious attitude. The PORTIONS for all 4 meals were DISAPPOINTING. I wouldn't suggest take out or dine in for this location. HIGHLY SUGGEST A REAL AUTHENTIC MEXICAN

Not good… Food came out cold, service was very slow. I tried two different drinks and both watered down, all ice with little drink , was not impressed. If you like good food and drinks this isn’t the place. I recommend ANYWHERE

We've been searching for our favorite Mexican restaurant in Auburn and Agave is our current working candidate.It's cozy, colorful, and has an extensive menu with some unexpected choices. Lengua! Cabeza!Sam's chorizo passed the spiciness test, my posole (red) was meaty, silky, and had a full side of crispy vegetables and lime slices to add in. Altogether delicious and very generously portioned.Mom's chicken flautas were flavorful, and both crispy and tender at the same time. Nice!Cannot neglect to mention the flan! Super dense and just sweet enough, with a boost of chocolate to elevate it. We shared it.The staff could be family members; our server was young, personable, and thoroughly professional.It was chilly and rainy when we were there so we'll have to return to try out the patio, but it looks comfortable. I think I'll try the mole...Looks like they could host your party on site or provide catering if that's your jam.
