Came from out of town and found this great place. Food was great! Even our Mexican friends loved it. It feels like an authentic hole in the wall with family workers and kids running around. Feels like home. Lol. Come here if you want authentic home food with family to hang out with. Large portions. Friendly.

The staff was friendly and inviting. Not a long wait for food after ordering. The food was good, but not great. Maybe it was late or because it was a to-go order, but my Chimichanga was almost all beans and rice with very little meat. Decent flavors but lacking on quantity.

This is my go-to Mexican restaurant in the Auburn area. The food is great with large portions. I love that I can get skinny margaritas and true vegetarian options that just aren't rice and beans. They are dog-friendly on the patio which is great during the hot summers. Great family place for the meat eaters and the vegetarians.

We came in about 15 deep, no notice after a soccer game. They handled our food order with problem and even memorized who ordered what. Also quick on the drink refills. Food was great. Will def be back when in the neighborhood.

Every time I place an order (1-3 times per month)... I always believe it's going to improve from the last meal I ate. Sometimes it's really good! And in all fairness, my order is always "to-go," which downgrades any meal in transit! But this Mexican Restaurant is a hit or miss for me. The staff is friendly. The restaurant appears to be clean. The food is ready within 15-30 minutes. Not bad. I wish the chicken tacos had more flavor - same with the rice and beans. The Veggie Fajitas are always good and honey likes the Carne Asada Nachos. I'll keep trying.

Delicious and affordable, friendly folks and great service.Vegetarian options: More than 2 choices for us, haha (not strictly vegan or anything, but easy to not accidentally order meat)Kid-friendliness: Family appropriate atmosphere, I'd say

Had a family feel when I walked in.Friendly greeting. Both from front staff and delicious smells.Chips are crispy and taste fresh. Salsa is medium heat with good flavor. Guacamole tastes amazing and fresh. Has hints of cilantro which I LOVE!I ordered the shrimp tacos. Two good size tacos with 6-7 well seasoned shrimp per taco. My opinion of the beans is that they could use a bit more flavor. They had a bit of a soapy taste to them. The rice was good! The service was friendly and professional. I didn’t feel smothered or neglected, just right.Overall, a lovely evening in a local family favorite. I will be back. Thanks, El Agave.

Pros: good 12.99 burrito, good meat, good proportion for a basic item.Cons: dirty tables for only having 3 customers, cold pinto beans, selective service for locals vs tourists.Typical. If you’re in the mood for a good sized 12.99 burrito with good meat, I’d recommend. But these ratings are a bit high for a local hole in the wall. Maybe I’ll change my mind on the second trip.
