A newly expanded seating area and the same great food, Max's Deli and Catering is my favorite place to eat in Auburn. If you're in a hurry, order ahead online and your food will be waiting for you. The sandwiches are fresh, delicious, and there really is something for everyone. If a sandwich is off limits, there are tasty soups and salads, and deserts as well. The staff is efficient, and cleanliness is the byword. Enjoy the people watching and most of all the food. I do. A great deli and one doesn't even have to go to New York!

Pastrami on marble rye with Swiss was very disappointing.
Love Max’s deli. I don’t live in Auburn but every time I’m in Auburn I plan my lunch at Max’s. I love the California Ruben on marbled rye. I get every time. I would love to try something else but love that sandwich so much. The staff are so friendly.

Not too impressed with chicken salad sandwich. After seeing an employee wearing a tRump hat, l will not be returning to this place. Wearing a political hat at your job tells me what that hat represents to me. Hatred, bigotry and un-American. As a Vietnam War era veteran, l will never enter your establishment again. I will also make sure than my friends do not either. I actually threw away half of that sandwich since she handled it.
