owner- server has an excellent memory. He can take several orders at once with no notepad. I can barely remember my own name...Mick is very hospitable and remembers your name, drink and orzers from the past. He is very kind and honest..The place is a little run down, but Mick & AJ (the cook) make up for it with their great made from scratch food and hospitality.
One of my favorite breakfast/lunch places in Auburn...

Super food, and low prices for the best omelet I've had. It's a cute little diner with friendly staff and plenty of parking. I recommend you try breakfast at this hidden gem.

Nice little place with a simple interior whose walls are lovingly filled with pictures of customer's mothers. Welcomed in and treated so kindly by the staff. Pancakes were wonderful and the hash browns were cooked perfectly, not burned or raw anywhere. Really made us feel warm and at home.
Very nice breakfast. Owner was very attentive and helpful. Lovely experience
Amazing food
Such a fun guy to talk to and the food was absolutely amazing. Cannot recommend more!!
Mom’s in Auburn isn’t fancy—it’s just flat-out good.
The kind of spot you wish was in every town: warm, funny, and unapologetically real. Mick runs the place with charm, wit, and a spatula never too far from reach. One minute he’s pouring coffee, the next he’s cracking a joke with a full room. The walls are covered with photos of everyone’s mom (literally), and classic rock hums along in the background.
It’s not fast food—it’s good food, made fresh and served with a side of community. Come early in the week for the full menu; by Saturday, some items might be crossed off—but that’s just proof of the freshness. You might have to wait, but it’s always worth it.
I think this place is closed for good. Went at lunch time on a Saturday. No cars, old help wanted sign in the window, health stickers outdated.

Very friendly local café feel. Prices are very reasonable and the food and service were very good

Great experience. Just good quality breakfast food at a reasonable price. The owner was our waiter and he was great.
