Monkey Cat has been on our list to try for a while--it was quite good, but food was a bit overpriced, Madori sour wasn't great, and the server was rarely present (and we often had empty glasses)

Food was good but nothing special and pretty expensive for what it was. When I made the reservation I had put a note on our reservation that it was for a special occasion and it wasn’t recognized. Overall very disappointing!

Great flavors underwhelming execution. Portions are very small for the price. Seafood risotto had tiny pieces of shrimp in the rice rather than a couple prawns as expected, the half of a very small lobster tail was pretty good and the 2 med size scallops were cooked perfectly. The stroganoff was a little salty and a more traditional style would probably sell better. Overall it was a good experience but probably wouldn't return.

First time in, was highly recommended. Good wine selection and the waitress was nice and attentive. Bread service is not complimentary. We started with the tomato blue cheese soup and the lobster bisque. The soup was nice, lots of blue flavor. The bisque, not so much. It was to thin, needed cream and not a piece of lobster to be found. A bisque has to have body..this didn't. We decided to skip mains and moved on. Might give another try, we will have to see.

Great experience. The wait staff was wonderful and prompt. The cuisine was excellent. We'll be back.
Excellent food & outstanding service. After our meals arrived the server approached my husband apologizing that the chef thought his steak was overcooked so we redoing it, saying he could take one home! We had a second lovely meal tonight! Cocktails were also good, I think the only thing lacking is some ambience.
It was good! Server could have come by more, to fill waters and remove plates but otherwise all was good!
We haven't been to Monkey Cat in a long time. The menu has changed. The food was good, steak was very good served with vegetables and potato. The seafood risotto was good but it only had 2 scallops and minced? Shrimp not sure where the lobster was and had a hint of spinach. Overall good flavor but it was a small portion for $ 40+
Great lunch with friends at Monkey Cat. Our server was friendly and efficient and the food was outstanding! I had the prime rib French dip with fries and it was so delicious! I'll definitely be back to try other menu items.
Busy due to holidays but noise level was extremely high. Hard to hear at times. Food was good but I felt that the pricing was a bit high for what you get.

We had a wonderful experience. Our server was so lovely (I can't remember his name, sorry) Great food, good selection, the peppermint crème brûlée was amazing! Have already recommended it to local family.
Food was great, I had been here for lunch while working on a project a couple of blocks away. I told my wife that this place was very good and we needed to have dinner here. She loved it, it was worth the 35minute drive from Sacramento.
Ordered short ribs, was served a piece of chuck roast. I know a pot roast from short ribs. Our waitress was nice, maybe a little inexperienced, but she was pleasant. The polenta was creamy and delicious, but a bit skimpy on the serving size. The table rocked.
