Friendly staff but very preoccupied with talking amount themselves casually while you wait 10 minutes for a water. The chefs make up for waitresses slacking because the food is amazing . I come here for the taste not the scervice basically.

Our new favorite place in Auburn. Nothing else like it nearby. Comparable to what you’d find in Roseville or Sacramento which is great since Auburn has limited variety. Love the Bento Jumbo B.

Only giving two stars because my son liked the potstickers. If you are looking for good quality sushi, stay away from this place. The raw fish was nowhere near fresh and the torched eel on top tasted like butane. We didn’t finish a single roll we ordered. The miso soup tasted like hot water. ??Go thirty minutes up the hill to grass valley and eat at sushi q, or even sushi in the raw. You’d even be better off getting sushi from Safeway.

It's not easy to earn a five star rating from me, but Oishii Teriyaki 2 in Auburn deserves it. The food is consistently and exceptionally fantastic! Great service and a beautiful, relaxing interior round out the experience. My friend and I split an order of beef noodles and the Lion King roll with another I can't recall. If you like high-quality and scrumptious Japanese food, you have to try this place!

Really happy such a quality restaurant has occupied that building. Menu selections are consistent, and high praise to their server Bibiana! She always brings a personal touch and a smile with excellent service. You'll appreciate the portions and variety.

The management is horrible. For the second time in a row I was not served my roll while my family was served theirs after an hour and 30 minutes of waiting. The first time I just said take it off the bill... food never came and we tipped the waitress. The second time I asked them to not include it on the bill and check out. They brought the roll 10 minutes later, I told them I don't want to get charged, my family already finished eating dinner. The tables around me said they would take it and pay for it.... The waitress said she would need to ask their manager. Instead of comping us as any restaurant would do, the manager decided to give it to the surrounding tables at no charge and send me home hungry with a full $90 bill of what we did receive. I never saw a manager and never received a sorry. I just saw my meal be disbursed to the tables around me. I thanked the manager as I left " thanks for sending me home hungry while I watched my meal be given away for free to the other tables" she said "your welcome I'm glad" with hand gestures and all. I proceeded to explain to the waiting customers (about 12) that while it takes an hour and a half for a roll that never gets delivered and then I watch surrounding tables eat it as complimentary. I hope you go somewhere else with your business. I have never experienced such absolute incompetence and lack of customer service. Absolutely unbelievable. Mind you, I had no interaction with the waitress but a couple times, and gave tons of "thank you" to the waitress staff anytime they brought anything to us.. I'm very cognizant of making sure that people serving you are the most appreciated in the room, above and beyond. Owner, ask your wait staff! They are under horrible management.

First visit. We were there for lunch. The ambiance was good-clean and comfortable. Service was excellent, food was fresh. There were five of us-we ordered miso soup, edamame, potstickers, In N Out Roll, Lion Roll, Scott Roll, Dragon Roll and a combo plate of Sesame Chicken and beef. All items were excellent except the chicken was a bit dry and thin. We also had the creme brûlée for dessert -it was good but not as amazing as it looked.

I REALLY REALLY wanted this place to be awesome and upon walking in, it seemed like it would be headed that way. But my rating was solely based on my lunch experience and mind you I never really give that low of a rating.. so I'll just share exactly what happened and you be the judge. 1. Service: only 2 waitresses were working and one was also acting as a hostess and expo. It was lunch time and semi-busy, so right off the bat the restaurant is EXTREMELY under-staffed. By the time we sat, two other tables were sat 5 min behind us and the hostess didn't communicate the order or service so they got served first and mind you about 15 min after we all sat. When the waitress arrived, there were no introductions or manners.. the first thing she said to us was "what are you getting?" My husband and I looked at each other in awe for a second there. After we ordered our appetizers, we waited another 15 min until 2 miso soups and 1 edamame arrived at the table. When our meals arrived, we ordered a to-go order for a friend and she added it in front of us on her mobile POS system. When our bill arrived, the to-go order wasn't on it and she hadn't even put it through. What was she doing on her system? Playing games?! So we told her to not even worry about it anymore and left. 2. Food: we ordered 2 miso soups, 1 spicy edamame and 2 sushi roles; we didn't order any drinks. Total bill: $47 The miso had one tofu and 2 pieces of green onions, tasted like any other miso soup so no complaints there except for the size which was about a handful. The edamame was steamed and tossed in chili sauce. The sushi roles were awfully made. I know for sure it wasn't sushi rice, they used teriyaki rice that deteriorated the minute you tried to pick it up. If I am being quite honest, it looked like something you would get a grocery store deli packet. For those two roles it was $32!!!! A $16 roll should be either the freshest of fish if we're keeping it simple or something that's not 3 cheap ingredients and calling it high-end. So maybe their teriyaki is good, who knows.. I know I'll never find out.
