We ate there last week and our food seemed to taste better than before. Service was great and helpful. It is the best Thai in the Auburn and surrounding area.

My wife and I ate lunch at Karin Thai today for the first time and were very impressed. It's a small hole in the wall restaurant in a strip mall and from the outside appearance you'd probably drive by and not give it another thought. That would be a mistake and a bad decision on your part if your looking for really good Thai food. The decor inside is simple, but the food is complex, rich, and full of flavor. The menu is diverse offering many of your typical Thai dishes, but then surprises you with items like rib eye steak, Thai Pork Spare Ribs, Spicy Chili Catfish, and Salmon Red Curry to mention a few. Most of the menu items have a vegetarian option. Service was excellent, and the hostess/waitress was friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the Panang Curry, and I ordered the Green Avocado Curry. Both were ordered with chicken and medium heat. Both dishes came out in a reasonable amount of time, piping hot, and freshly made. We could smell the aroma drifting off both dishes. Both dishes were beautifully plated. My Green Avocado Curry had what appeared to be a whole avocado in the dish and was loaded with chicken. My wife's Panang Curry was loaded with chicken as well. We shared both dishes, and the heat was perfect for us. Too many times I've had Thai food where the heat either overwhelmed the flavor of the dish, or the chef just plain substituted heat for flavor. Not here. Both dishes were full of flavor, and the heat accentuated what were already extremely delicious entrees. We compare Karin Thai very favorably to Auburn Thai Garden which is our go to Thai restaurant in Auburn. However, Karin Thai has just earned it's place along side our favorite, and we look forward to trying many of the other dishes on the menu. I don't give out five star's easily, but Karin Thai earned it. We'll be back.

Cozy, clean, nicely decorated dining room. The waiter immediately greeted us. Menu has many dishes, great variety. The Crying Tiger is the best we've had. A new favorite in Auburn.

Amazing Thai spot (favorite in the area probably)!! Best bang for your buck too, good size portions packed with lots of flavor. I went here for lunch and got some stuff off their lunch specials menu. The pineapple fried rice (-cashews,+spice) was delicious and they delivered on the spice! The pad kee mow was also great and there were grape tomatoes stir fried in which was a delicious surprise! Thai tea was sweeter than I expected but strong and yummy too.

The food is really good, but can no linger can go there. We have a large group of people that have lunch in the shopping center you are located in every Tuesday. Can't understand why you are open on Monday when 95% or the center is closed and closed on Tuesdays when more things are open. Very sad and disappointed.

This is the most delicious Thai food I've ever eaten. It's so fresh and everything is cooked to perfection. We had the satay, green beans, shrimp salad, pad Thai, and a sweer sour salmon special. All wonderful!! The service is amazing and the whole restaurant is beautifully done, very clean and welcoming. I've been 5 times and can't get enough!!

I was a big fan of the previous restaurant star Thai was yummy, and I almost feel guilty for saying Karin Thai is better! It's fresh, delicious and the staff is friendly. I always order the same thing Phanaeng green curry. Theirs has a sweet yet spicy coconut base. I ordered a 2 and it was just the right amount of spice that you can still taste the base. I had chicken in mine. It has a sweet green bean that was tender and added so much flavor. My husband loves the pad Thai. We order shrimp and chicken. The shrimp did have the tails on, I would ask next time for them to removed. The restaurant itself is clean. The service was attentive but no one was hovering over us. ( always a plus in just book.) water was always filled, and he asked about 3 times if we needed anything. In my opinion it's the best Thai restaurant in auburn.

Hands down the best Thai in placer county! Especially up the hill, I come all the way from grass valley just because of how good the Thai food is! And the owner is such an awesome soul, -- to Pe-oh I hope all goes well, and you feel better soon. We miss you! Goose & Blaine

Delicious! Very tasty thai food, each dish has a unique flavor. I tried the pad thai, basil eggplant, and fresh avocado rolls. I believe their peanut sauce is homemade as well, very good. I highly recommend this lovely new restaurant
