Of all the places we ate on the island, Avalon Grill was my favorite. I had the vegetable gnocchi and it was wonderful. Jimmy (I hope I'm remember his name correctly) was a terrific waiter and everyone was friendly and attentive.

Extremely disappointed with Avalon Grille. We were told there would be a 10-minute wait and were asked for our name and phone number — standard, right? Well, they never called us. Not even a glance our way after that. We waited and waited while several empty tables sat untouched. It honestly felt like we were being ignored completely. What’s the point of taking down our info if you’re not even going to use it? Terrible service, totally disorganized, and not worth the frustration. Definitely the worst experience we had during our visit.
Tried this place thru reviews and hotel recommendations. To our dismay we were disappointed. Cocktails are pricey. Average is $18 per drink, tasted great, but are weak. Doesn't feel like we got our money's worth. Pork belly appetizer was really good. The hoisin BBQ sauce was amazing. It set the expectation that the entree's would be great as well. That was not the case. Four pieces of shrimp for a $31 tastless meal. A $55 tastless and tough steak. This place needs to rethink how they prepare their drinks and meals. Until then, there are other places to go to.
